KRT Wire | 03/29/2005 | Exercising with an Indian twist What?!?!
The patent idiots has allowed a dance routine to be patented? What next? Nose-picking? “Uh, yeah, I twist just this way to the left!” I may have to dig up the patent because I do not believe this.

(KRT) – Jane Fonda in a leotard and leg warmers super-charged the aerobics field in the 1980s.

Now, some unlikely candidates have arrived to lay claim to the throne the Hollywood icon abandoned almost 25 years ago. Two California sisters, Sheila and Sarina Jain, whose family hails from Rajasthan, India, are billing themselves as the “Indian Jane Fondas.”

Sheila, 28, of San Francisco, teaches around the California Bay Area. Sarina, 29, moved to New York City to strike it big. Together, they are changing the international aerobics landscape with a pioneering and patented Indian aerobic dance routine, called Masala Bhangra Workout. Their fourth exercise DVD has just been released, and they recently have signed a contract for international distribution.

Agh!

Um, sorry John but I already have the patent on nose-picking, so hands off, so to speak.
It looks like that Indian chick infringed me.
Cuz mine goes kinda like this: “Uh, yeah, I twist just this way to the left!” .That’s for the right nostril.
A lot of people don’t know that you twist in the opposite direction of the nostril you are mining.
    That’s why it’s a patent – non-obvious original application.
    More creative than one-click, actually.
I’m looking at major deals from all the movies and comedy routines featuring my invention.
    Free the Boogers!
    And let the royalties flow!

    I’m not surprised.

If Bikram Choudrey can patent 5,000-year old yoga positions [more] then why not patent a dance?
