John McCain: The Most Flawed Presidential Candidate In History
It is now clear that what is left of the Republicon Party, after being fatally poisoned by the Bush administration, intends to commit suicide by nominating Senator John McCain (R-Hanoi) for the presidency. Where do I start?
Yup, that’s all the excerpt I’m giving so that you have to read this guy’s rather amazing list of attacks on McCain. Some I’ve never heard of from the non-main stream press (as if I expected it from MSP — ha!). It starts with how he accidentally (or not?) set off a bomb on an aircraft carrier that killed a pilot. It also has a good attack on those who hijacked what once was the party of fiscal responsibility and other worthwhile things it used to espouse.
This could be filled with rumors and a load of crap, but I have a sneaking suspicion everything swept under the rug in the past will come out before November.
So, now what? Are we SCREWED AGAIN?
So, this guy is just an ultra conservative==the type that would be proud to have his party lose the presidency. I skip-read after the first part about how McCain had it easy in the Hanoi Hilton. Lots of allegations and maybes taken as proof?
What we have here is a swift boat skipper. Tighten down the hatches.
This guy (Roland C. Eyears) is full of shit. And people will believe him… just like they believe the made-up bullshit about Obama.
During the fire on the Forrestal, the Suni rocket was determined to have been initiated by stray voltage. It shot across the ship, from the other side of the deck, and struck McCain’s airplane, which was parked with it’s tail pointing out towards the sea. In films you can actually see McCain jumping from the plane after it catches fire. There is not one iota of credibility to the moron’s (Roland C. Eyears) story.
Why assholes like “Roland C. Eyears” are given an ounce of publicity and credibility is beyond comprehension. But I guess that there are plenty of ignorant and misinformed people that will believe him just because he says so… or people like “Uncle Dave” that are irresponsible enough to give him publicity.
And I say this as one that thinks that McCain is an opportunistic liar unfit to manage his own household, much less his country… but when bullshit that morons like “Roland C. Eyears” publish, it damn well needs correcting.
sooo much for that liberal bias that this site is accused of having…….
geez, this guy is against campaign finance reform AND influence peddling?
cripes, dude, pick one, because if you are against one you are, by default, in favor of the other.
Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, doesn’t make him correct. And besides, McCain is still WAY better than the alternatives!
It is the truly wacko people like this idiot that really scare me.
If the Clinton people successfully steal the election from Obama, I’ll be voting for McCain.
I’m probably not alone.
I’m always very suspicious of somebody who can’t spell their own work…
I ran across a website one day that listed issues from GWB and J. McCain. On the issues listed, all of them important ones, they agreed completely! McCain is more of the same, from the war to the economy. Is there any hope for the “AMERICAN” worker?
I’m not even going to bother reading the article because obviously it’s McCain’s famous temper that is his Achilles heel.
Running for President has to be absolutely exhausting and people with tempers don’t do well when they are tired.
Odds are, McCain is going to get angry and really screw up before the election.
Obama, on the other hand, really seems to be able to keep it cool.
So far, Obama’s biggest weakness is that this is his first national campaign. But, so far, so good. Still, he’s going to make some big mistake. It’s just inevitable, right? But, if he keeps a cool head, he should be able to recover. McCain, in comparison, is much more at risk for self-destruction.
@#11 Mr. Greg Allen “Obama’s biggest weakness is that this is his first national campaign.”
I believe that Obama’s greatest weakness is that he is going to have to endure 5 weeks of slander and innuendo and the rest of the “kitchen sink” by the Clinton campaign.
Bill and Hillary have made it clear that they are perfectly willing to smear him through surrogates, muddy the water and otherwise try to reduce the campaign to the lowest common denominator. Expect to hear stories how Obama benefited from affirmative action or quotas during the course of his education because the race baiting stuff seems to be working.
I don’t see Obama winning Pennsylvania, it will probably approximately resemble Ohio voting.
After Pennsylvania, there is Indiana, North Carolina, Kentunky, West Virgina, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Montana. Hillary will probably win WV, KY and Puerto Rico; Obama will probably win the others … but I don’t see how this isn’t going to drag on indefinitely.
What a shame.
#3 – Correct. I viewed these films also. This guy is a lying sack of…
# 4 – Why? Because an article is posted by a lunatic attacking the GOP candidate. If anything this confirms the assertion…
The give-away with this article is that just like any other nutball he cannot stay focused on his points and goes off the deep-end with all sorts of weird crap.
And hey, I have an idea to prove McCain was a slacker in Hanoi. Since he was apparently given free reign while a prisoner of war all we need to do is find his secretaries, maids, butlers and whores who were servicing him there. Cripes.
And exactly how is this blog liberal-biased? Because we do not think George Bush is the greatest president ever in history? Or because we think the dollar should NOT be in the toilet or that getting off the oil teat would be a good idea? I mean EXACTLY what is it?
“This could be filled with rumors and a load of crap, but I have a sneaking suspicion everything swept under the rug in the past will come out before November.”
This blog isn’t liberal but some of the “authors” are a bit suspect… Other than being a mediocre politician sucking on the public teat (like the other candidates) & an ex-POW, what has been swept under the rug?
Perfect solution for this guy: Cheney as McCain’s running mate.
Some of what he has to say is believable. Of course his breaks with conservatives are a matter of public record. The part about no POW accepts McCain isn’t credible, but McCain’s bragging about being a POW is unseemly and brings to mind John Kerry.
#16 – And exactly how is this blog liberal-biased?
And if it were, how would that be a bad thing?
#19, Lyin’Mike,
Trolling again.
McCain’s bragging about being a POW is unseemly and brings to mind John Kerry.
Neither McCain or Kerry bragged about their military records. When necessary they have defended themselves. Usually it has been the wing nuts on the right questioning their patriotism. The same wing nuts who never served.
#21 – Neither McCain or Kerry bragged about their military records.
Certainly Kerry did. And surely McCain does. And they are both right to do it. You can’t tell to look at us, but we are a nation at war. Having a strong military history and a commendable service record seems like a legitimate selling point for a guy looking to be president.
As Bill Clinton taught us, military service is not a prerequisite to being a great president, but as every other president in history taught us, it can be a bonus to be a veteran.
#33–OFTLO==how do you define “bragging.” I was quite taken just 2 days ago when McCain was asked about his 2 sons serving in Iraq. He demurred saying he didn’t talk about that stuff.
Maybe you are confusing how powerful “not talking” about a subject is with bragging about it?
By the way, McCains time in Hanoi Hilton does NOT prepare him to be president nor an expert in foreign relations. It might have taught him how war should be the last restort or that torture is bad, but those limited lessons have escaped him as well.
#23 “By the way, McCains time in Hanoi Hilton does NOT prepare him to be president nor an expert in foreign relations.”
Agreed. On that note, Obama has almost no experience that would ready him to be the Chief Exec of the most powerful nation on the planet. Same for HRC…
#23 – I was quite taken just 2 days ago when McCain was asked about his 2 sons serving in Iraq.
One reason not to talk about that is that those are his sons serving in active duty. Perhaps “bragging” is a poor choice of words, but McCain hasn’t been shy about about his military experience, and he shouldn’t be.
By the way, McCains time in Hanoi Hilton does NOT prepare him to be president nor an expert in foreign relations.
It better prepares him to make military decisions than the sum total experience (which is none whatsoever) of the current President… And how the hell can you really discount McCain’s military career? You know, he didn’t become a POW when he enlisted. He also did some actual combat duty before being captured.
I’m not supporting McCain. But after his lifetime of service, I’m giving him what he deserves. Respect. He’s earned it.
If elected, I won’t be ashamed of being American like I am under Bush.
#22, OFTLO,
#21 – Neither McCain or Kerry bragged about their military records.
I disagree. Stating the truth is not bragging.
In 2004 Kerry did not repeatedly speak about his service record. On the few occasions he was asked, he responded. Those who made the most of his record came from those outside his campaign, including the Swift Boaters.
I do recall at least one TV Ad where he mentioned he went to Yale, then volunteered for Viet Nam as an obvious dig at another well known student that went to Yale and then went missing.
