Lens cleaner…
Lens cleaners dont work IF’ the CD/DVD cant read the disk. If there is OIL/grease/Fluff on the lens, it cant Start the disk.
What i have seen on Many laptops, is that the DRIVE HEAD, is in the TRAY. Which makes it Very easy to clean, and no disk required, just a Q-tip to wipe it clean.
Im REALLY waiting for this to happen on desktop/tower computers…I HATE tearing apart a computer/CD-DVD JUST to clean the heads, because you CANT reach the heads.
Pedro,
true, but have you ever tore a $200 CD/DVD player apart to clean a head, with a FUZZ BALL on it?
some CD/DVD players dont go back together as EASY as they come apart.
If it cant read the DISK, you cant clean the Head with a DISK cleaner. Trying to insert a Q-tip PAST a narrow opening is a PAIN, esp. a LAPTOP slot.
