A police motorcade the length of a football field escorted troubled pop star Britney Spears to a Los Angeles hospital early Today to get her some help…

She was removed from her home for a “mental evaluation hold,” according to the L.A. Times.

It took the better part of the day to arrange the transport plan, (an) officer said…

Andrew Blankstein, a Los Angeles Times reporter who was at the scene of Thursday’s incident, told CNN that a police convoy, stretching the length of a football field, accompanied the ambulance as it drove down Coldwater Canyon Boulevard — in part to keep the paparazzi from getting too close.

If you’re a redneck junkie – or Black or hispanic – you and three of your friends get tossed in the back of a black-and-white and end up in the detox tank.

    Not if you’re a rapper.

  2. RoeBoeDog says:

I see an Elvis trend here.

Hopefully it will not take as long.

  3. Angus says:

I bet the citizens of Los Angeles appreciate the use of their equipment, personell, and time to cater to a spoiled rich kid.

  4. edwinrogers says:

    The poor neighbors.

  5. Phillep says:

Running over paparazzi should be “Misdemeanor littering”.

  6. morram says:

This morning I was warned by the morning news that if Britney does not receive the needed help she requires we could have another Anna Nicole Smith or Keith Ledger tragedy on our hands. I felt so bad I woke up my wife and kids and told them to spend the day praying for Britney.

    I can’t tell … are you kidding?

  8. njk says:

And the revelation that different income levels get different treatment from public authorities comes as a surprise to WHO?

  9. OhForTheLoveOf says:

#9 – To no one… and that is what is tragic.

What is more tragic is that many would argue that the solution is to provide worse treatment to the rich and famous rather than better to the poor and unknown.

  10. Pharaoh90 says:

Poor girl. Never gonna get the help she needs.

Pop will eat itself and make all kinds of excuses why it was standing around gawking with a camera in its hand.

Then the punchlines will change to something about how it was everybody else who was laughing.

Oddly you have a Jody Sweeten from that full house show. Having everybody sat her down for an intervention.

  11. bobbo says:

TV news commentor stated the extra manpower was needed in order to control the crowd of papparatzi.

In any case, seems to me a rich person should get “better” treatment because if negligence occurs, you can get sued for much more money==so, on a resource allocation algorithm, yes, anyone who can sue you for more money SHOULD get more careful treatment which normally is more expensive which more people take as “better.”

White trash with no education, adulation, and money. Meanwhile, all sorts, no education, and no money lead wasted lives in the millions. Yet, Edwards can’t gain traction in his candidacy. Seems we the electorate simply don’t care.

    And so it goes.

Get her on burgers and crack and she’s on the fast track to Elvishood…

#2. Can’t imagine tattooed mommas and cross dressing Britney impersonators on Harleys paying homage vigil on Coldwater Canyon Boulevard.

    Britney is a redneck junkie.

In this country, it truly doesn’t matter whether your black, white, hispanic, etc.

The only color that matters is green.

  17. JimR says:

Wouldn’t the police dept. charge Brittany for those services? I can’t see them doing it for free.

  18. ECA says:

    Can I ask?

    WHO paid for this??

    YOU DID..

  19. TIHZ_HO says:

    #19 ECA – Go ahead!

You are so right you know. 😉

Remember the older post about the police wanting to charge for their services? Well this is the perfect time for the police to send someone the bill for their services! 😆

    Cheers

Sorry I forgot to reference you – I was expanding on it not wanting to steal your post. 🙂

    Cheers

  21. Brittany surely contributed plenty in taxes to the city for all that protection. In fact her taxes paid for your neighbors stupid calls about a neighbors weed “problem”. Her well paid producers also contributed in taxes, in fact, there are many thousands of people who have been paid by the Brittany Machine, who’s taxes have paid the city for her police escort. I get so tired of hearing people make false claims of these services being taken out of their taxes. There was a public safety issue, and safety issue of a human being. SAFETY. The other thing that irks me is how people make fun of her misfortune, make predictions of her death, criticize her performance. You guys who do that are losers.

I’m a taxpayer as well… please give me a police motorcade when I need to visit my doctor.

  23. OhForTheLoveOf says:

#22 – Nice post there… Obviously another starfucker with the bullshit opinion that if it makes money, its good.

Giving a shit about Britney on a personal level is stupid. We don’t know her and her drunken redneck lifestyle is her business… except where it costs us in tax dollars.

But it’s EVERY intelligent person’s right right to criticize her assault on the culture with her abominable aural concoctions that some people have the audacity and poor taste to call music.

  24. Phillep says:

Edwards? Wasn’t he the one who made all his money suing doctors for something that turned out to be harmless? Something to do with child birth, right?

Great way to bring down medical costs, suing doctors for not making mistakes.

  25. Mister Catshit says:

    #6, Philleep,

Running over paparazzi should be “Misdemeanor littering”.

No, most States consider it somewhere between reckless driving to murder, depending upon the condition of the person driven over and the intent. But your kind prefers to think irrationally anyway.

    #25, Philleep,

Great way to bring down medical costs, suing doctors for not making mistakes.

So who got sued for NOT making a mistake? Oh, right, more invented garbage from those assholes on the right. Of coarse we all know, it is futile to ask for a link. Rush doesn’t give any references when he invents this crap.
