Sex education for slow learners

Sex education lessons should be given to schoolchildren as young as five as part of a bid to combat soaring levels of teenage pregnancy and sexual disease.

Dr Charles Saunders, chairman of the British Medical Association’s Scottish consultants’ committee, warned that schools were leaving the safe-sex message so late that many teenagers were already exposing themselves to avoidable risk.

Saunders also called for secondary schools to hand out condoms and other forms of contraception to children from the age of 13…

Parents’ groups gave Saunders’ remarks their cautious backing and the Scottish Government said it was up to individual schools to decide when to begin sex education. But the Catholic Church in Scotland said it would oppose any such move, describing it as “pointless”.

Of course, if the program is approved, they won’t be able to offer it on the Web – because “think of all the children” who might access the info without [parent, government, church – pick one] approval.

A rear entry is the most basic of sexual positions, something that one is never too young to learn.
The recipient of the woody is in the modified doggie position, not yet being on all fours.
I happen to favor the doggie mode (however, NOT as the recipient) having experienced many delightful copulations as the provider of the stiffy.
    I highly recommend it!

    This is a disturbing picture.

  3. ECA says:

    The topic/header ISNT worded correctly..

It shouldnt be Tagged SEX EDUCATION…
Its should be natural history, body construction, Self understanding, or something like that.

As being on a farm/ranch, you see Body parts everyday. You learn what they are and what they do.
By the time you are interested in SEX, nature has some of the BEST videos..

  4. Personality says:

    ^ Ur doing it wrong!

  5. domc says:

I’ve been saying and believing this for years.

  6. dvdchris says:

ECA…agreed. people freak out when they hear ‘sex education’ and 5 years old and say ‘hell, no!’
But really, I would hope your 5 year old boy could name his penis and know other people shouldn’t be touching it and that girls don’t have one, they have a vulva, and so on. Jeez.
Then by the time the kid is 9 or 10 they should know about the body changes, etc and along with that the information about sex and pregnancy.

  7. Matt says:

If that ever comes to my son’s school district, you can bet I’ll be home schooling the day after that.

  8. ECA says:

    7,
I dont know which way to take that.
But I believe that NATURE tends to give most answers WHEN you look. The problem is when TEACHERS are told what CAN, and CANT be taught. Sounds like South Park, episode…REALLY.

And I dont believe in Lying, or delaying the truth to kids…IF they show an interest, TELL them, maybe NOT ALL of it…but TELL them.

  9. steelcobra says:

But the Catholic Church in Scotland said it would oppose any such move, describing it as “pointless”.

Of course they did. The more extra kids they have, the more catholics there are, and the more income and mentally enslaved followers they have.

Where the h€ll did my earlier post go??

  11. Mister Catshit says:

We started with our daughter’s sex education when she was three. Basically, she owns her body and no one is ever allowed to touch her without her permission. Over the next five years, that has branched out into why. By the time she hits 13, I expect her to understand responsibility a lot better than those who have never been exposed to it.

Sex is not dirty. It is not wrong. Sex is something two people do for love. When they are old enough to understand and share. When the people are mature enough to understand the consequences.

  12. dvdchris says:

So Matt, did you read the article? They are not talking about condoms and sex positions at age 5.
I would hope your son would know his body parts and ‘bad touch,’ and an age appropriate understanding of ‘girl anatomy.’ Some parents are remiss at teaching anything. That’s why it’s needed in public school.
Thats all the ‘sex’ education would be at that early stage.

  13. ECA says:

    13,
I agree, but i ALSO think parents SHOULD teach there kids… Even if 1 has to stay home and take CARE of them…
But, our society has has been Burdened by the NEED/requirement to have 2 working parents to GAIN much of anything, including the necessities to LIVE…

    IT SUCKS.
    Someone should ALWAYS be HOME.

  14. Mister Catshit says:

    #14, ECA,

    IT SUCKS.
    Someone should ALWAYS be HOME.

    How about the dog?

  15. ECA says:

Dog is there so he can Piss on the cat, then the cat can get Pissed off.

  16. bobbo says:

At what age does the human being outgrow his/her hormones and become fully capable of “love?”

I know it is well after serial disappointment overtakes the entire process, but, just wondering.

  17. RBG says:

    12. Mr. C.

“Sex is something two people do for love.”

    Bzzzt! Wrong answer.

It’s this bit of BS that contributes to teen pregnancy.

If you take an evolution course, you might learn that sex is something two people do to procreate. You would learn that organisms that evolved sex drive increased their chances of successfully reproducing sexually.

That will be the cornerstone message to my child. They will understand that the possibility of bringing in a life… even a 5 or 10% chance (ie: birthcontrol failure) is as serious and unacceptable an endeavor as a “taking out a life” (or even a 5% chance of killing someone).

As far as I’m concerned, even a 1/2 per cent contraceptive failure rate is unacceptable over the entire population of sexually active kids.

You want to lower teen pregancy? Change society’s support of groovy love to the real facts of life. Or, give kids a reason to exercise real power over their own bodies.

  18. RBG says:

Start by teaching teens how to spell “pregnancy” like me did.
