    Obeying the laws of physics, I would simply install 4 evenly spaced about 1 car length intervals.

    To maximize the coil spring / shock effect, the first bump compresses the shock, so by the time the second is driven over, the shock hasn’t gone back to it’s original state.

    At the fourth bump the driver should get sea-sick.

    Of course driving slowly over all four hardly compresses the shocks absorbers.

    No, actually, I watch people come to a nearly complete stop before going over the bumps, then speed up to over the limit (residential, 25MPH) until they approach the next.
