1. Digi says:

Bear in mind it’s fake, though. Check out MarcRyan.com for more of his stuff.

  2. wump um says:

Another way you know this is fake is because of the drop shadow on the so called date. That is the default drop shadow for Final Cut Pro.
To my knowledge no crusier cameras have that little information on the screen or dropshadows.

  3. Mark T. says:

Sure looks legit to me. Just because it was posted by this Marc Ryan guy doesn’t mean it’s a fake. The date was probably added when the website banner was added.

If you have ever been pulled around by yours arms while they are behind your back, you know it hurts like hell. I don’t think you can get a guy to go through that kind of pain just for a dumb YouTube video unless it is a skateboard stunt or some such BS.

  4. ky13 says:

Also, how many cruiser videos have you seen with audio? And, if the audio was coming from a mic on the cop, how are they at the same level? It definitely seems like the audio was overlayed. Whether or not the video was faked is a different question.

  5. Mark T. says:

ky13 – I have seen police vids with sound before. The one that comes to mind is the one where a copy pulls over a guy in a Bronco II and the guy goes ballistic, tears up the ticket, and throws the bits out the window. You can even see the whole truck rock back and forth as the guy jumps around like a monkey and screams with rage from inside the truck.

You can hear the cop say how he will be cited for littering. The motorist jumps out and, cursing the whole time, picks up the bits of paper. It wouldn’t have been funny without the audio.

  6. Charlie says:

Mark T., you forgot the best part of that. It’s when the cop says “Have a nice day” as the idiot drives off after his fit.

  7. Scott K says:

I think the biggest giveaway is the completely terrible acting. I’m not the type of person who can always spot fake vids and I’ve been duped before, but this is clearly fake.

  8. ChrisMac says:

    typical youtube fair..

youtube should have a “Buy Share” button.
do it up like a slot machine. mmmmm

of course it’ll redirect you to something google

  9. Nik42 says:

This is not that uncommon I think. My father’s friend lost his license for drunk driving in the late 80s when i was growing up. He lived in a rural area, and tried driving his ride-on lawn mower to a corner store while he was drunk. He was arrested. DUI laws apply to any motorized vehicle. I imagine they would even apply to those hybrid motorized bicycles.

    Don’t taze me, bro!

  11. Nadrew says:

DUI applies to riding a bicycle, horse, and in some cases being a passenger in a car driven by a drunk. Go figure.

I am using Zone Alarm Free Firewall. Had to turn it off to comment. Is there a way to configure w/o turning it off?

  13. ZZ says:

Isn’t that the old video of Steve Arnold, he got DUI’d on lawmover in South Carolina (I can’t remember the town though).

Anyhoe, it’s a good example of how police creates a situation for himself to respond violently, even the guy is drunk.

just find somebody’s open wifi access and post using stupid sucker’s IP 🙂 If you live in any bigger city you’ll have plenty available at any moment and location.
Thats the only real privacy protection I know of …

  15. The Monster's Lawyer says:

I’ll be representing Steve. He was obviously inhibited in his pursuit of happiness.

  16. Will says:

Dude, that guy should have put it to the floor and ran for it. No way the cruiser would have kept up…. in really tall grass….

    About This Video

My buddy Steve is a moron! I often tell his stories in my show. This is one of my favorites. Through a friend on the force, I got one of Steve’s arrest videos from the summer of 2005. In south Louisiana this behavior is not uncommon at all. Tell a friend. Enjoy! I hope you can make it out to a show to hear my other Steve stories.

The guy’s a professional comedian but this could be real. If it’s not, they went to a lot of trouble to fake it… the police radio, the push bars on the front of the police car, the uniform, the siren, etc. He talks about his buddy Steve in his act.

Oops. Lawn mowing at a whole other level.

  19. Ian says:

    Hey,

I’ve seen that vid very recently on the TV here in the uk, it was on one of those ‘carcrash tv’ progs police, camera, action crap things where we get to see all the silly/unusual arrests from around the world.

The commentator seemed quite convinced it was real… but as to where the tv program sourced the video I dont know. Just thought I’d add that it was recently on national tv here.
