Globetechnology: Microsoft probes spyware system attack — Appearing next to the Globe and Mail article about Microsoft’s problems with some software designed to screw up Microsoft’s latest patches is a Microsoft ad. Since the article does not inspire confidence I’m certain this ad location is not a good call.
REDMOND, Wash. — Microsoft Corp. is investigating a malicious program that attempts to turn off the company’s newly released anti-spyware software for Windows computers.
Stephen Toulouse, a Microsoft security program manager, said the program, known as “Bankash-A Trojan,” could attempt to disable or delete the spyware removal tool and suppress warning messages. It also may try to steal on-line banking passwords or other personal information by tracking a user’s keystrokes.
I guess that’s the limitation of advertisements based on word-count, just as your ramblings on the left do not help you resolve your concerns.
