    And?

  4. undissembled says:

And here I thought it was for cleaning up our oceans. Tricky bastards, they got me.

  5. TIHZ_HO says:

    Vodka makes everything better…see?

    Cheers

  6. Misanthropic Scott says:

I would never have guessed the product, but kept thinking that if all the trash in the world suddenly did come back and hit people on the head and land in people’s yards, it would certainly serve us right.

  7. xwing71 says:

    Coolest commercial for Vodka ever.

  8. TIHZ_HO says:

#7 You got a point there!

  9. Aaron Davies says:

Would it be ironic that an add that looks like a Michael Bay movie would end up advertising the exact product I need to WATCH a Michael Bay movie.

  10. Gordon says:

What a great ad for the History Channel! Oh, it’s for vodka? Never mind.

  11. hhopper says:

    Great ad! I didn’t have a clue.

  12. Boozehound says:

… all that, and Stolichnaya is still better vodka…

  13. joshua says:

I was sure it was an enviromental ad, and then maybe a bottled water ad. This was great.
I saw a 2 minute piece on you tube that kind of ties in with the begining’s of this ad….it’s really cool….check it out.

“Life Without Us” is a really good read.(listen)

  15. zaw says:

I mean “The World Without Us” by Alan Wiseman

  16. Greg Allen says:

At the advertising agency I used to work at, I think that ad would have been nixed. How does it sell the product? Our agency guidelines said that an add has to, somehow, sell the product. Just being “cool” is not enough.

  17. joshua says:

#17….not anymore Greg…..how many ad’s are there now where you actually have to look hard to figure out what they are selling. It seems all the ad agency’s think that flashy graphics or colours will do the trick.

  18. rich584 says:

I realize this is going to be a bit hard to believe, but I had just watched the SKKYE (spelling?) Vodka and “another Vodka commercial” was my first thought. By the end, I had no clue and was shocked by the answer.

  19. AdmFubar says:

Odd, I didnt know they made vodka with ocean water…
you know… if all that drinking of vodka stopped, there wouldn’t be all that trash and pollution around. Thensmirnoff wouldnt have to go through all that filtering in the first place…

hhmmm I might be on to sumptin’ there….
