Really cheezy not to say where this is===and I would say if copyright is not the issue, not to provide a bigger image to copy to my desktop?
With green going up to the top, must be low level. No signs of civilization or trash.
Easy to guess New Zealand?
“Dang what do I have to do to get above this pesky cloud?”
It’s called Podborka.jpg. Does that mean it’s in eastern Europe? It sort of looks like the Rockies.
for what its worth: podborka is russian vor selection
Editor==actually the picture itself is just fine. It expands to fill my screen and still looks nice.
If you have the interest/time, posting such pictures and then after the guessing game dies down, posting all the relevant info you have ((including photographer, camera, settings, location, etc) could be quite excellent. Less than this can only be enjoyable.
Bobbo – If you click on it, you’ll get a larger size.
I got the photo from PhotoBucket and I couldn’t find any information about it, other than the name. The rest of the photos in the set were private. I couldn’t even see the user’s name.
Argh!!! Eyes bleeding! Too much grain!
A wallpaper for Windoze Vista?
7–Hopper==yes I agree and good photos with info that are free to use are not all over the place. Still, might make an interesting “regular feature” and I’m sure some of the enthusiast websites have alot to offer. I’d rather have a nice pic every once in awhile, than nothing===thanks.
#8 – Yes, grainy but shot with a good lens.
I entered “podborka” into Google images and Yikes! Not all images suitable for work. Me thinks podborka has some hidden meaning.
Podborka is a small town in Russia.
Eeek! Tha fog is comming for me! Reminds me of a few old movie plots. Starting with “The Crawling Eye” that was featured on MST3k in its first season. John Carpenter’s “Fog” as well. But there weren’t any mountains in that flick. BTW, some cheap calendars yield excellent photo images of similar scenes. You only have to scan them, and edit out the nail hole. That reminds me, I’ve got some Vargas art that needs scanning. Later.
Oh, come on… a pic of the day — on THIS blog?!
Can’t some of you just have SIGs, that link to 2-3-4-5 other sites you frequent, and we can go back to discussing controversial and interesting topics?!!!?!
WHAT do I have to do to become an ED here?!!!?!
WHAT happened to INTELLECTUAL STIMULATION that Dvorak USED to provide?
hhopper – … oh, nevermind…
seen everyday in the french alps when its rainy like its been
Thanks, John
Cool……….
