cant wait to get one of those amazing folding cars!
Here’s a Chinese 4WD… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZWy_fASSiQ you don’t need to know French to get the point…
Hilarious!
This truck is more amusing, if you like. They state everybody will die 40mph! Worst car the EuroNCAP has ever tested.
Informed for Life website ranks most vehicles for overall safety. The Chinese are not the only ones with poor ratings. Don’t think I’d be driving a Mercury Mariner anytime soon. I’ll stick with my Acura TL.

This isn’t a flaw, It’s a safety feature! Now the car behind you has an extra 15 feet of crumple zone!
Interesting use of the passenger compartment as crush space to protect the critters in the trunk in case of a front end collision.
Humans are expendable in China ya know…

In that test the A pillar meets the B pillar.
Use better steel, there was a time in the Cultural Revolution, people in the countryside were asked to make steel to compete with Sheffield in the UK (think Stainless Steel), the method to compete was village hearths melting down their pots and pans (no Bessemer process there). Still, how does todays Chinese steel compare with ThyssenKrupp, Arcelor-Mittal etc.
Cool tin foil car with a balsa wood frame! Helluva crumple zone.
I hate to burst everyone’s bubble but I remember when a strange little Japanese 125cc motorcycle turned up at the Isle Of Man TT in 1959 & was loudly derided. For Honda at least, the rest is history.
The Chinese will get it, just like the Japanese manufacturers got it and the Indian programmers got it . It’s only a matter of time, something a people with a 7,000 year history got lots of.
#10 – Philip Barrett – The Chinese will get it, just like the Japanese manufacturers got it and the Indian programmers got it .
There’s no doubt in that the Chinese will manufacture better cars in the future, but would you like to drive a 2007 Brilliance BS6 on a daily basis?
The last 5 seconds are the best, with that huge chunk of glass flying across the camera.
Fat lot of good that air bag did the driver. He still got hit in the head with the dashboard, for God’s sake.
I wonder if these Chinese cars will blow up like Pintos when rear-ended…
I’d never buy it, probably has lead in the paint.
Know I now how all those industrialists are dying. They just make’em drive to work which is technically death by suicide.
And it’s painted with lead paint knowing the Chinese
LOL ..but on a more sobering note….
Laugh now while you have the chance…
China will be laughing last. 😉
Cheers
It gets worse: This car costs around $30k, comes with a 2L 120hp engine, 0-60 in 12.5sec, has a terrible interior, and is a terrible drive. Check out this article:
I’m pretty sure this is one of the worse cars to come out in years. Something’s up with the chinese lately.
!!!!!!!!!! That dummy ate the dashboard. Let me declare once and for always- the Chinese can stick their frightening, cheap-ass cars up where the sun won’t shine. I’ll walk first.
Another “thought”: The name “Brilliance” could refer either to the gasoline fire or the lights on the EMS vehicle. (rimshot, please).
#19 Did you know back in the 70’s this was said…
“Let me declare once and for always- the JAPANESE can stick their frightening, cheap-ass cars up where the sun won’t shine. I’ll walk first.”
And look what happened – eh?
😉
Nuff said?
Cheers
Just another example of Chinese population control … “one child per family, and the father riding in a car …”
#21 – TIHZ_HO (OH SHIT)
No need to go on defense… Most of us know that Chinese cars will pick up in quality one day… but until then… no, thanks.
I bet the car has magnets too.
While the first luxury Chinese cars end up squished like a can of soda, the first luxury American cars remained unharmed thanks to the use and abuse of steel, who remembers when people “flew” right through the windshield of those 1950s buicks?
#23 Jägermeister
😉 I know – I just stirring up the mud! I gotta watch myself though, people will think I also use a Mac! 😀
Also in the 70’s it was a toss up which would come first for a FIAT, rusting apart or falling apart.
Fix It Again Tony = FIAT
What other car name acronyms are there?
Friggin Over Rated Disaster = FORD
Got Money = GM
Any more?
Cheers
#26 – TIHZ_HO
Yep, it’s child diseases. They’ll do what the Japanese did… follow the instructions that the QA gurus teach… unlike some manufacturers in West… *cough* Ford *cough* GM *cough* If it’s something Chinese are good at is following procedures.
‘I bet the car has magnets too. Comment by estacado’
The magnet on some of toys are design fault! You shall point figure to Mattel.
When you laugh about BS6, please go to check the 2006 Vogager test result, which had same score as BS6.
What will you say about this? this car was made by people with hundred years car manufacturing experience.
