Can you identify what he’s painting before he’s finished? This clip runs 5:40.

That’s what I really like about this blog. When I want to be distracted a little bit from the ills of our country and from what those corrupt bastards in Washington are doing, I can do so without being steered toward Paris Hilton and the other things that are malignant in our society. Good post.

  2. Kevin says:

    Wow!

  3. Jägermeister says:

    Nice!

  4. Higghawker says:

I wonder how much he profits from his work? Amazing for 5 minutes work!! Im jealous

  5. hhopper says:

It blew me away when he turned the canvas around. Before that, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what he was painting. I guess the music should have been a clue.

  6. Les says:

Once I heard the music I knew who he was painting. GREAT WORK!!

  7. Matt says:

Is this the same guy that did the Hendrix video? I think his name is Denny Dent?

  8. BubbaRay says:

A great American artist — actually, both of ’em! Man, I miss that guy. Official website here:

(tiny urled so as not to spoil the video surprise).

  9. Steve says:

Exellent piece of entertainment. Brilliant artist.

  10. FRAGaLOT says:

if you can know the music that was being played you’ll know who he’s painting, but I didn’t really “see” Ray’s image till he started painting with white, and made the glasses.. which was before he spun the canvas around proper to fully see it. Love hard core finger painting!!

  11. MrK says:

There is a guy named Michael Israel who does this same thing for corporate events. Not as boring as the same old ‘team building’ and PPT items, etc.

But…the ‘HOW’ is that the guy has the image drawn in pencil on the canvas already. We have one of the paintings in our hallway, and you can clearly see the lines when you get within 5ft.

Or if you are close enough/walking around near the front during the show like I was. 🙂

It is slightly entertaining, but…it’s paint by numbers on a grander scale.
