“I invented this for my mother. I wanted her to shower comfortably,” says Ma Yanjun, of Qiqiao village, Shaanxi province.
Ma’s invention features 66 beer bottles attached to a board. The bottles are connected to each other so that water flows through them.

Since I’m currently a teetotaler (however, I once upon a time drank Everclear straight – long story) I would need volunteers.
Wonder how I could get them?
J/P=?
Warning, according to Kasperski AV this web site has a Trojan download waiting for you if you click the link, beware.
Bob
Nonsense! I’ve been to this site many times.
Would have been more efficient if he drank beer from brown bottle.
Simple and effective… all power to this dude.
I’m currently building a solar water heater for the inground pool.
Same principle, dirt cheap to make.
Will save me some $$$ on the heat-pump during the daytime.
Simple & effective. Half inch plastic 100′ tubing, six rolls (10$ each). A simple Y in the Tigerflex going to the heat-pump, a pressure valve, a 10$ water timer, and about 50$ worth of adapters & metal ties.
Basically using the pool’s pump to put pressure through the system, and a cute ornamental Frog water spitter. I then control with the pressure valve the Frog Pressure to not overshoot the pool.
Makes a nice 6′ arc by 4′ tall.
Bonus – soothing sound effect.
Bonus 2 – warm water shower
6,
and if you want GREATER heat…Slow the water down, and let it Heat more, before going to the pool
Or use Induction, and wrap the pipe around a Tub of water to transfer the heat, Inside the tub would be better, in a closed loop(use distilled water in Loop)
Would have been much better with 99 bottles…
Love it…
Hic! I’m only doing this for you, Mum!
Those are huge beer bottles.
I wonder if the nuns gave him the bottles.
Brown bottle would work better.
That’s what I call recycling…lol
Take a look at this solar heater developed by USP, one of the most prestigious brazillian universities:
http://www.sociedadedosol.org.br/en/presentation.htm
Instead of bottles, it uses black PVC panels. There are DIY instructions and kits and It’s also mass produced, it costs about 300 dollars (portuguese only link):

Paint em black
14, Paint wont last, unless you re-fire them IN BLACK…
This is doing it on the CHEAP side.
