Heard a preacher say that many of us are like the Apostle Peter. He went on to say it is hard to judge Peter when we’ve all had a little Peter in us at some point.
Maybe he wouldn’t have had such a hard time if he said “tents” right in the first place. “Tints” is too close for comfort to “tits”.
There are sooo many things wrong with this on sooo many levels. Glad to see he’s worried about his JOB.
it’s sad how the guy won’t just drop it and move on. he just keeps making it worse and worse.
(ps. the first time i saw this was at least 3 years ago. someone had to do some major gravedigging to find this.)
# 9 I too think its odd for him to view what he does as a “job.” If you view being a preacher as a job you shouldn’t be doing it. It’s what wrong with religion today it considered a business.
He goofed and then reacted to the audience laughing. No biggie. Funny. I think he is probably a very effective preacher. He is enthusiastic and keeps you awake. This sort of stuff happens at least once every couple of years at every congregation. At least he won’t get thrown out of a window for it! ( http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=11931 ) He’s definitely more effective on the pulpit than some 1950’s-era pale virgin priest speaking in Latin.
