Spanish nuns show hops are good for you
A study in which teetotal Spanish nuns drank a regular half-liter of beer showed that beer may help reduce cholesterol levels, a group financed by the Spanish Beer Makers’ Association said on Thursday.
The study also showed that the beer did not need to contain alcohol or to be drunk in large quantities to be good for you.
The “magic” ingredient is hops.
“We did it for the good of humanity,” Sister Almerinda Alvarez told the newspaper El Pais.
Trivia fact: Hops are closely related to hemp.

“We did it for the good of humanity,”
And humanity thanks you Sister.
“teatotaling”?? good grief.
#4: Unfortunately, the auto spell check doesn’t work in the box where we enter the headline. Greatest software invention ever — spell checkers.
See, and you thought religion had no value…
#1, J/P, Trivia fact: Hops are closely related to hemp.
And they certainly are a key ingredient in one of the finest discoveries of mankind. Even 6,000 years ago, brewing was an art:

#2, Mr. Fusion, And humanity thanks all monks dedicated to the production of the exquisite Benedictine and Grand Marnier. Occasionally, religion is productive.
My aunts all 5 of them were Sisters of St. Joseph and they got very upset if they didn’t have their “Happy Hour”.

GOOD BEER..
They might as well sell Hops tea.
Nuns Gone Wild Vatican Style
7. Yes, the good Sisters of St Andrews (my High School) also, they needed something to “compensate”. Good people mostly though.
7. Dude, your family reunions must ROCK.
I think there’s been a mixup in the photos here, Uncle Dave. Those are two penguins doing a mating dance.
#7, When I was a young teen, we lived near a convent. We used to play hockey against the nuns. Darn, they would check, trip, elbow etc. But because half the kids (not me) were Catholic none of us could retaliate in any way or our Catholic friends would take it out on us. If they didn’t, the nuns would take it out on them in school.
14. Nuns were into sports, they used to love playing soccer with us. Priests too, best soccer coach I ever had was Father O’reilly from Dublin, Ireland. Man could’ve gone pro.
Gotta love those bikini’s.
