This thing just might be feasible with a gasoline powered leaf blower. Just in case you might want to try this, here are the plans.

The Mythbusters did this, but weren’t so successful.

  2. Bill says:

Mythbusters got it to levitate it just couldn’t move forward unless they went over their alloted money.

Gawd I love the duct tape part…. I can see Red Greene doing this on a show soon!!!!! If the women dont find you handsome, they at least should find you handy…

  5. Mr. Fusion says:

    Yup, I agree.

DUCT TAPE and that other marvelous invention, WD-40. Ifen it moves an it shoulden, use duck tape. Ifen it don move an it should, use WD-40.

    God Bless ‘Merica.

#6, couldn’t have said it better, two of the greatest products ever made. I’ll just bet both are on the ISS. I know duct tape was standard equip. on the Mir and even astronaut Piers Sellers recommended it for use in space. My favorite quote from the comments: “Duct tape – Spaceship Grade”

My dad has been making these for years for his high school science class he teaches. It vibrates a lot and my wife equated it to the wonderful vibration sensation she use to get while riding her Harley.

What is better than duct tape?

    Gaffer’s tape!

Those of you who have ever worked on a film set know what I’m talking about. It sticks better but leaves less residu, and it’s cloth so it is easy to tear.

I have a vague memory of trying this as a kid in the 70s but I don’t think we had a blower powerful enough. I think we used the output of a shop vacuum..
