I have not watched the vid, but from the static shot it looks like America’s Army
It just looks like bad ammo to me. Why are they standing at attention? Is this some sort of inspection or something? Who’s army is this? S. Korea?
Doesn’t look fake, but the reaction of the guy on the right is strange. He doesn’t seem to be concerned about the loader at all. Also, the video cuts off before you can see the reactions of the others.
Nobody – No, it does not look like ‘America’s’ army. The uniforms are wrong, helmets too.
BTW, America does not have an army though the United States does.
The gun crew would be at attention if the volley was part of an honor salute. I thought I saw white gloves on the guns commander.
This is the Singapore Army training on a old anti-tank gun. The idiot deserved what he got for breaking the safety rules, that you never, ever stand directly behind the breech.
Is it me, or are they wearing FLAK jackets? What kind of gun crew would be wearing FLAK jackets? Well, on second viewing it does look like about a 75mm AT gun, so I guess AT gunners could be in armor. But if they feel a need for armor, what’s with the white gloves and the standing at attention.
At least the armor prolly saved the guys life. He’s gonna get some “ribbing” from his buddies though.
Not only is he standing right in line with the recoiling breech, but isn’t he risking his fingers too?
Darwin nominee?
Oh yea, that is NOT heavy artillery. This is “HEAVY” artillery.

There is heavier, but this is the most common.
Don
#7, Don. Thanks for the link, that is one heck of a gun.
Yikes, wonder what happened to that guy?
Does the gun eject the casing after firing? Anybody know?
That’s not heavy artillery, that’s a pea shooter….This is heavy artillery (possibly the heaviest ever)

That was a Blank Shell…
If it was REAL, ….OWWWW!!
More really big guns
Yea, this looks all too familiar. If the guy was lucky, he may have walked away with a bruised chest. If he was unlucky, he now has no hand or forearm, fractured ribs w punctured lung or dead. This is a relatively common injury among small artillery gunners. We used to have to medivac at least one unfortunate soul every year off of the range because of a premature firing of a 109 (not small arty). This was usually due to the crewman pulling the lanyard before he was completely clear of the recoiling breach or being unaware that the battle rattle he was wearing was caught on the main somewhere. The Army’s field artillery training places a high priority on safety when firing the stick. Still accidents do happen. Unfortunate.
ROFL that guy got pwdned by a peice of artillery!!! Look at the way his helmet flies right off of his head – those things have chin-straps dont they?
lol – great video
Bill, (#4)…
That’s “America’s Army”, THE VIDEO GAME…
I already KNOW the correct definitions of the armed services (duh)
rofl #4 && #17’s response… I guess we know what games Bill DOESNT play
