Maybe he should have plugged it into Cheney’s pacemaker

Plug it in, fire it up, Mr. President

Credit Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally with saving the leader of the free world from self-immolation.

Mulally told journalists at the New York auto show that he intervened to prevent President Bush from plugging an electrical cord into the hydrogen tank of Ford’s hydrogen-electric plug-in hybrid at the White House last week. Ford wanted to give the Commander-in-Chief an actual demonstration of the innovative vehicle, so the automaker arranged for an electrical outlet to be installed on the South Lawn and ran a charging cord to the hybrid. However, as Mulally followed Bush out to the car, he noticed someone had left the cord lying at the rear of the vehicle, near the fuel tank.

“I just thought, ‘Oh my goodness!’ So, I started walking faster, and the President walked faster and he got to the cord before I did. I violated all the protocols. I touched the President. I grabbed his arm and I moved him up to the front,” Mulally said. “I wanted the president to make sure he plugged into the electricity, not into the hydrogen This is all off the record, right?”

It’s this cool headed thinking and quick acting that causes Mulally to be paid the REALLY big bucks.

I wonder when Pres. Bush fueled his own vehicle last???

  2. Billabong says:

He should have took one for the team and let Bush F%$# up one last time.

  3. Redattack34 says:

    2. Incompetent and power-hungry though he may be, even George W. Bush doesn’t deserve to die in a fire.

A fiery explosion would have been tragic. Those cars are really expensive.

Stew, yes. Even Ford builds products that are almost foolproof. But remember, it’s impossible to build anything foolproof, because fools are so inventive. Thus, M$, Apple and DRM tech support [hackers] are still in biz….

Tech support for problems like this is just a click away. (Politicians fools folks with attention spans less than 2 minutes 25 seconds please avoid):

Damn! Another missed opportunity to get rid of this president! At least this would not have been as an embarrassing way to go as choking on a pretzel 😉

  10. Tikiloungelizard says:

Y’ever notice that the Bushes don’t know much about things that are designed for NORMAL people who do things for themselves? Bush, Sr., was so amazed at the grocery store price scanners….that had been out for years. They’re above the plebian masses.

  11. TJGeezer says:

10 They’re not above the plebian masses. They’re just so totally out of touch they sometimes look even more stupid than they are. It’s the same quality of being out of touch with everybody else that gives them their famous sense of entitlement. Neither quality has much to admire.

Here, here; very democratic, fair and balanced, after all he is a 2nd term peoples choice president.

I like it when someone sees both sides of the issue.

Gotta like the way #2 Billabong thinks.
