1. Mike D. says:

What makes this so good is the fact that you can swap out the word “Democrats” with “Republicans” and it’s just as funny and just as true.

    • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

Not “quite” true. One major demonstration of this is OBOMACARE…. which is straight up Republican Think Tank Private Market Welfare for the Powers that Be.

But the Pukes rejected their own plan BECAUSE a Demonrat was proposing it.

Only the Republicans reject what they actually want because it is offered by the other side.

    • NewFormatSux says:

For liberal media, it’s either global warming or now Donald Trump.

New York Times has a story now

Amid ‘Trump Effect’ Fear, 40% of Colleges See Dip in Foreign Applicants

Goes on and on about how Trump has caused this. Turns out the survey that is the basis for the article has
39% reporting a drop in applicants, 35% reporting an increase.

  2. bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

I’m still rebuking myself a bit for not fully accepting just how slimy the Republican Party is.

The Ryan Healthcare Plan failed BECAUSE it wasn’t horrible enough in really injuring people who are down on their luck/status. The TeaParty Faction, aka The Freedom Cabal, wanted deeper cuts. They actually wanted to repeal Obama Care WITHOUT any replacement at all: Let the Free market reign. You know the Free Market? If you have the money: you can have whatever you want. If you don’t have the money: go away and die quietly…… because, money is how God tells us who he favors.

It took me about 3 listens to fully realize Ryan Care was failing NOT because it was taking benefits away….. just the opposite.

Just ….. look. ((Yes…I recognize the Senate was more aware of voters attitude on the subject and they want to get re-elected. Hence, the tension between the power hungry vs the ideologues.))

All those in favor of restricting/reducing/repealing health care coverage/support for the indigent and poor………. do you realize this only increases the cost of your own insurance?

    Do you?

Because Emergency Room care is more expensive than primary care. Its a fact everyone should understand…… “humanity” doesn’t even need to enter into the equation.

    • Hmeyers says:

Koch brothers were calling all the shots for the House Freedom Caucus (35 member block).

If they voted for the bill, they wouldn’t get re-election funds from the Koch brothers.

Special interest money runs the show.

Special interest money is also why the Democrats will fillibuster Gorsuch even though it is short term political suicide (Republicans nuke fillibuster) because that is special interest money calling the shots.

It is no longer about politics, it is about the money. The Democrats are now doing the same thing that the Tea Party did, and the Tea Party was an astroturfing sham that didn’t work and produced terrible candidates but it generated tons of money for fund raisers.

      • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

Been true for………..too long. Perhaps not out in the open as it is now.

Gorsuch strikes me as just too conservative, and too much a calculating poser. Too pro business and anti-common sense as the firing of that truck driver demonstrates. I would expect Gorsuch to vote for further erosion of people based democracy and allow individuals to contribute as much money as they want to to any politician….. I mean…. own them directly rather than go thru the sham of a Pac.

Is this the best democracy money can buy….. or what?

        • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

MEANING: If you can’t get 60 votes in the Senate, maybe you do need to select a more moderate candidate.

But why learn from History? Keep on selecting the wing nuts and continue to be surprised when first your own party doesn’t work, then the gubment, then our whole country.

          “Right out in the Open.”

          • Hmeyers says:

The Democrats wouldn’t vote for a conservative judge because of Merrick Garland, no matter who the Republicans nominated.

In the House of Representatives, due to gerrymandering most of the seats are either solid Republican or solid Democrat — encouraging extremism in both parties because most of the seats are very, very safe.

Many of the Senators are from reliable Red States or reliable Blue States, it is the Senators in competitive states that have cause to compromise.

(Lindsay Graham is a moderate from a non-competitive state, making him a bit unusual.)

Partisanship is probably the permanent new normal due to gerrymandering and Citizens United.

Cut up into non-competitive districts, unlimited lobbyist money gives the marching orders.

          • NewFormatSux says:

            > If you can’t get 60 votes in the Senate, maybe you do need to select a more moderate candidate.

If Democrats had five more seats last year, they likely would have blown up the filibuster and tried to seat Merrick Garland or whoever Obama nominated.
I have a feeling that under this alternative scenario, you would not have posted the above.

          • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

“Feelings?” What are you? a little girl???

Partisan to the point of having sand in your vagina. ((A poorly constructed metaphor…. but it felt good. See what feelings do?))

          • NewFormatSux says:

I’d accuse you of failing at reading comprehension again, but I suspect you understood it. Even you can’t be that dense(peanut butter).

        • NewFormatSux says:

Firing the truck driver is pro business and anti-common sense? The results of a case shouldn’t be the basis of deciding who wins, but rather the law.

          Majority position was

he STAA’s whistleblower provision makes it unlawful for an employer to discharge an employee who “refuses to operate a vehicle because … the employee has a reasonable apprehension of serious injury to the employee or the public because of the vehicle’s hazardous safety or security condition.” TransAm argues that Maddin did not “refuse[] to operate” the truck but instead operated it in defiance of instructions to stay put. But the ARB is entitled to Chevron deference on its reading of the provision. Under its interpretation, an employee “refuses to operate” a vehicle when he “refuses to use his vehicle in the manner directed by his employer even if that refusal results in the employee driving the vehicle.”

Gorsuch went with a logical point that the company gave him the option called for in the law- staying in place and not driving the truck he thought unsafe. He ignored that, and the company fired him.
          https://eppc.org/gorsuch/#RottenCargo

          • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

“Logical” as in the absence of common sense and sound social policy? Is that what you mean Sparky?

The vehicle was unsafe to drive as was the driver so “logically” refusing to drive in unsafe conditions is logically and expressly exactly what the quoted law was supposed to protect: the driver, the company, the truck, the PUBLIC.

Logic? ….. Here, pull my finger. I got some logic for you.

          • NewFormatSux says:

And the company didn’t force him to drive in unsafe conditions. They gave him the option of staying with the truck. Well really that was his only option here, they told him not to drive. You really need to work on your reading comprehension.

Firing may have been the wrong choice, but that doesn’t mean he gets to win a court case over it.

          • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

That exactly what “right” and “wrong” do mean in this case.

“Logically” (as that is the BS heart of the legal BS) if you are ordered to not drive the truck and stay with the vehicle “and that is unsafe” then that is how you were told to drive the vehicle…… its BS… but “logic” often times is: not related to the truth or to higher values…but merely the logic of the givens and the parameters and the consequential applicable conditions.

            Just look.

      • NewFormatSux says:

Schumer has announced a filibuster, and it looks like he is doing it to placate the base, and is hunting for Democrats in safe states who will vote against the filibuster, like Leahy.

    • NewFormatSux says:

If they had voted for Ryan/TrumpCare, premiums would go up because of the leftover from ObamaCare, and Republicans would have been blamed for it.

Clean repeal would lower costs for about 90%. Focus on the 10% later.

      • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

If you mean lower costs for those that still have it?….Sure. “Healthcare for those who can Afford It.”

        Very Rush Lumbaugh.

        • NewFormatSux says:

Much easier to afford when premiums are hundreds of dollars a month than when it’s thousands of dollars a month. Young people could get for even less than that, with some plans at $10 a month.

          • bobbo, the truth has a liberal bias says:

Can you link to the benefits of that $10/month plan?

$50K deductible then coverage for the next $100…then a lifetime limit?

I hear those are cheap in Kansas.

          • NewFormatSux says:

You don’t have them anymore, but that’s what EHealthInsurance was advertising for young people about 10 years ago. Still would have been a bad deal for me after the fact, as my costs were less than this.

          • NewFormatSux says:

The benefit of health insurance is to insure you against big costs. The point is not to have the insurance pay everything.

          • NewFormatSux says:

The other benefit is you get access to lower prices, the opposite of how all the other insurances work.

  3. eca says:

    As stupid as it gets…
    REALLY..
    WE pay our representatives..
    Corps pay our representatives..
    and WE LOOSE..

Work for a company and take money, THEN work for another group to NOT do your job, Properly..

    Wouldnt SOMEONE GET FIRED??

(personally) I cant see HOW they got over 50% of the people to vote.. 30% of the people are registered demo/repub..(15/15) And that other 20% could have Elected ANYONE..
I do find it entertaining that Both groups support Other Smaller groups to THIN things out..to gather the NUTS together in 102 baskets..but NONE of the groups will Go together and Overwhelm these 2 groups..

  4. NewFormatSux says:

Is this Marc’s attempt at not copying someone else’s pictures? It doesn’t work; no one would hurt themselves doing that, you have to be in motion first.

    And the bar is Hillary.

  5. NewFormatSux says:

It’s true. Marc Perkel produced President Trump by staying silent on Hillary’s server. Marc is a Democrat. So anything Trump does is the Democrats’ fault.

    • Ah_Yea says:

      Yes that’s true.

Marc KNEW Hillary was a crook, and he voted for her anyway.

Marc is the guy on the bike, the stick is Hillary, and being a loyal Democrat he voted for her – the worse candidate possible – anyway!

So yea, he can complain about the Democrats when he’s lying in the dirt since they gave him no other options.

  6. An honest man says:

What’s funny is that the guy on the bike IS a DEMOCRAT!

    He went on to say…

“We are everything we say THEY are. We’re such disingenuous, two-faced bastards!”

“HereI tried to end my shame, but can’t even do that right. No wonder we got our ass handed to us on a platter.”

  7. Go F Yourself (and vote) says:

You sure you don’t have that backwards?!

Take a good look at the Republicans. They are much more likely to self-destruct than the Democrats are. Just examine recent events. The Republican’s finally win back the White House, both sides of Congress and can’t even pass the same load of crap that the Democrats were able to shove down our collective necks 8 years ago. (Same shit, different party is about the only difference — you either get screwed in the ass or forced to suck some giant government dick, but make no mistake, you’re fucked!)

With Democrats, they only have and only use ONE brain — they make excellent LEMMINGS! But with Republicans, they are a little more independent-minded which makes herding them down the same (self-destructive) path a little bit harder. And as a result, the Republican motto almost seems to be: “if it can be fucked up, we’ll do it.”

  8. NewFormatSux says:

Exit polls found that of people who wanted the next President to pursue more liberal policies than Obama, 22% voted for Trump.

  9. NewFormatSux says:

By the way, the new rules that Democrats lived by for 8 years is that the President can ignore the Constitution and do things by executive order. Also, the President can repeal or amend any law he doesn’t like by instructing the attorney general to enforce the law in a particular way.

So if Trump proposes a tax cut, and it gets blocked in Congress, he can still say I think this is good for the economy, and Congress is not acting, so I will instruct my attorney general and the IRS not to go after people who pay their taxes according to my proposal.

  10. I learned a long time ago – by the example of a fellow who was disreputable -that blame is ultimately ineffective and gets you nowhere
Sadly i doubt this individual ever learned or comprehended this lesson

  11. NewFormatSux says:

Everything done by Trump is always and forever Marc Perkel’s fault. No amount of trolling will change this.

  12. NewFormatSux says:

New Democratic Chairman agrees with Marc, and has fired all DNC staffers. Nice show to convince people they won’t be rigging things anymore.

  13. Robert Miller says:

And the ideological ping-pong match continues.
