8 years ago Obama ran on the “Change” slogan. But Hope and Change became Nope and Same. His presidency was more like a 3rd and 4th term of Bush, and it was a disaster. Killing bin Laden was about the only thing he got right. Obamacare is better than nothing – but not a lot better.
People wonder why Hillary lost. It was in a big part because Obama was such a poor president. (Article about Hillary being responsible for her own loss coming.) But the bottom line is – Hillary was the candidate of more of the same. Trump is change that we can believe in. Change to what is a mystery, but whatever happens, it will be different.
As to Trump’s campaign slogans – they were just slogans and just because he said it has no bearing on if it’s true or not. Everyone who thinks they know what Trump is going to do is wrong. Everyone! We can only hope that he isn’t as bad as what I think he’s likely to be.
Obama said he would close Gitmo on day one. It’s still open. And don’t blame the Republicans. Obama was weak and stupid.
The rich who crashed the economy got a huge government handout and no one went to jail. “too rich to jail”, was an Obama creation. The rest of us got screwed. Not even a minimum wage increase. Even Bush raised the minimum wage.
Obama deported more Mexicans than Bush.
Obama threw more gays out of the military than Bush.
Obama is trying to steal back the signup bonuses for soldiers going to Iraq. (Can you refund my legs too?)
Obama opposed birth control pill (RU486, morning after) after FDA approved it.
Obama expanded government spying that Bush started.
We now have a 20 trillion dollar debt.
Obama closed many California medical marijuana clinics.
We’re still in Afghanistan and Iraq, and we screwed up Syria, Egypt, Libya, and all the “Arab Spring” countries creating ISIS and ISIL. And Hillary was SOS at the time.
Obama war on press and spying on press.
Obama was in a war on whistle blowers including Assange and Snowden. Looks like Assange won that battle.
I could go on – the the bottom line is – Bush screwed us over. Then Obama screwed us over. The voters wanted real change. They rejected 16 other Republicans in the primary. Bernie almost won on the Democrat side – but the Dem primary was rigged to elect Hillary, and that backfired.
Ultimately people were so disgusted that even though Trump himself was a clown candidate, people just couldn’t stomach more of the same.
I personally voted Hillary, but I understand why, in an election about the lesser of 2 evils, that other people chose Trump.
Ok, whatever happens with Trump will be different. Your observations about Obama and Hillary may be insightful. I hope things in the USA will be made better under his administration. All of us should feel the same. But we’ll soon find out.
Anyway, it may not matter. I suspect Trump, in the overall scheme of things, will be nothing but a bump in the road and we’ll see a changeover back to the Democrats in 2020. And then it will be a continuation of Obama all over again. Maybe worse.

When I went to vote, they asked me to fill in the circle of who I am voting for. There was nothing to mark I am voting against someone.
She couldn’t bring it up, but killing Bin Laden is more Hillary’s doing than Obama’s. He kept saying no, listening to Valerie Jarrett. He finally gave a greenlight to Leon Panetta for a special forces op as a stalling action, not knowing that a plan was ready to go. Obama did not know when the op was launched, Hillary did. When Valerie found out, she ordered to abort.
Hillary had promised Leon Panetta that she would resign in support of him if he were forced to take the fall for a failed op, but I think we know that she would have abandoned him.

Bin Laden was already killed sometime during the Bush presidency. Some rocket into some mountain cave or destroyed convoy in some remote valley did the job. The only corroboration was the sudden change in radio and phone traffic, and other circumstantial support, to “prove” that he was now dead. Bush tried for years (and failed) to find physical evidence so he wouldn’t be called a liar. Enter Obama. Obama needed a “win” and brilliantly crafted the “raid” which “killed” Bin Laden. Then after not allowing ANY of our allies to view the body and confirm the death, “bin Laden” was dumped in the middle of the ocean. Haaaaahahahahahaahahahaha.

Killing Bin Laden was one thing no one can dispute that Obama got right.
Although it doesn’t bring back the 3,000 people that died, Bin Laden’s death brought that chapter to a close with justice being served to a mass murder of innocent people.

1) UAW didn’t know about it. So Trump’s tweeting it takes away Ford’s leverage in negotiations.
2) Ford gave Trump credit, giving him more leeway to threaten other companies.
