Just as I predicted when Snowden exposed the NSA, the back door spying has backfired. The government required Juniper Networks to put a secret back door into their routers so the NSA can spy on us. Now the bad guys have found the secret back door and they are exploiting it. It’s like they are just handing ISIS the keys to the kingdom.
What the government doesn’t understand is that whenever you create a back door the door doesn’t know or care if you are the good guys or bad guys. And this applies to encryption as well. The NSA is a one stop mall for terrorists who only have to hack one system to get into everything.
ENCRYPTION BACKDOORS HAVE been a hot topic in the last few years—and the controversial issue got even hotter after the terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, when itdominated media headlines. It even came up during this week’s Republican presidential candidate debate. But despite all the attention focused on backdoors lately, no one noticed that someone had quietly installed backdoors three years ago in a core piece of networking equipment used to protect corporate and government systems around the world.
On Thursday, tech giant Juniper Networks revealed in astartling announcement that it had found “unauthorized” code embedded in an operating system running on some of its firewalls.
The code, which appears to have been in multiple versions of the company’s ScreenOS software going back to at least August 2012, would have allowed attackers to take complete control of Juniper NetScreen firewalls running the affected software. It also would allow attackers, if they had ample resources and skills, to separately decrypt encrypted traffic running through the Virtual Private Network, or VPN, on the firewalls.
Typical magical thinking and shortsighted unaccountable bureaucrat creating policy/law. Courts have repeatedly shown there is no downside to bad government decisions or bad policy/law. The government just argues they acted out of good faith. Too bad Doctors/Soldiers/average citizen can’t argue they too acted out of good faith.
Maybe if Juniper Networks or their customers could sue BSA, NSA, FBI or whatever; they would think twice first and seriously consider the downside too others before acting.
Of course, there is no downside for BSA, NSA, FBI or whatever; bad policy/law or decisions is actually encouraged and promoted unless they get sued or even fired!
He cuts and pastes that same post in every thread.
All he had to do was backspace out a word.
Then type “Juniper Networks”. Then paste it here.
>so the BSA can spy on us.
You expecting the Bernie Sanders Administration to happen?
Why don’t you explain the hack at DNC that Bernie did. Pretty rich of the Hillary’s campaign to declare laws may have been broken.
You could have had Biden/Warren if you had posted your followup to the server post that you promised. But like Bernie, you backed off.
The DNC used the “Hillary’s web server guy” as a contractor.
BSA – Pick One:
1. Business Software Alliance
2. Bernie Sanders Administration
3. Boys Scouts of America
Anyway you look at it, our GOV is AFU.
We are SOL.
Maybe a way to respond to this is to freely pass out the ability to all to spy on the governments, so that they can no longer have secrets if they use any technology.
If they continue to use technology, there will be no secrets. If they stop using technology, the amount of activity will be greatly reduced by the loss of efficiency, which could still be a win.
So..
Someone DIDNT Validate the code…View it and CHECK it, after it was implemented?? wonderful.
No Matter the Hardware/software, a 2 point validation, and a LOG of Failed entry…should be happening..
Then a SYSOP must validate the FAILED ENTRY…who and where it came from..
A SMART system will TRACE BACK to the origin, and LOG the computer..if it cant trace back, it STOPS all access, until validated by a sysop..
Anyone getting a HINT HERE about sysop protocols??
AS IN, if someone is logged in, and they are DOWNLOADING GIGS of data, someone should check if its a VALID account..
The LESS protection on a system means MORE work for the SYSOP(remember that sony)
I shouldnt get into MONITORING the net…its like picking up all those PHONE books dropped off at your home, EVERY YEAR(I get 3-4) and sorting out all the data inside to see how they compare with each other, even tho you have 1,000,000 copies of the same one.. Its the Amounts of Data to sort threw. Not just all the formats/Forms of Chat/txt/sms/Communication that are used from SMail, Cellphones, Smart phone, Regular phone systems, internet, 7 different languages used on the net,……
Its more to the creativity, of the HUMAN…that makes sorting all this so hard..
Capital letters!
And your keyboard clearly is missing the apostrophe key.
Hmeyers ARENT you the busy body one?
Depends on several factors: quality of entertainment, amount of beer left, etc.
And the lack of quality material to read in this thread.
You are one of the guilty parties to posting low quality crap that I had the misfortune to read!
You posted crap.
Admit it.
My crap is better than your crap and my crap DOESNT stink like yours!
Admit it!
Yeah, we get it, I am poor pathetic pedro’s sugar rush, its cocaine bliss…it’s all hot and bothered for me.
Still pwning pedro, rnd 1 of 99.
Question: how many rounds will pussy pedro go? Stay tuned, the show is just beginning.
Noname should be called the “Frenchman” because if you reply to him he will “insult you again”.
He’s like a middle schooler that just likes to use the “bad words” on the internet.
Ah, pathetic pedro got a new sensitive (a self-proclaimed angel, innocent as the driven snow) boyfriend, how cute.
Hope I get an invite to the nuptials!
Don’t know if I can stomach them sharing their consummation stories.
But, yeah, I kinda like being a “Frenchman” too!
Better than the McD and “without a brain” still pwning pedro family & friends, rnd 2 of 99.
Hope your enjoying this as much as I am! 🙂
Ah pedro, always such a laugh and now embolden being betrothed to Hmeyers.
When will you be sharing your consummation stories?
Still pwning pedro, rnd 3 of 99.
Stay tuned to see if the pedro has the balls & stamina to go to 99 rnds? 🙂
hehe, love the french food fight!
And since you brought up the subject of government stupidity and cases like the San Bernardino massacre…
Let’s not forget that the San Bernardino Isis sympathizing CRIMINALS did NOT obtain their guns legally — in a State where we have the most restrictive gun laws already! It’s proof positive how stupid government laws (often derived from money driven thirst and moronic fear mongering beliefs) only tie the hands of law abiding citizens and do NOTHING to PROTECT anyone. (It’s also no coincidence that you’re NOT hearing the idiots take advantage of the San Bernardino shootings to promote more of their moronic agenda too.)
If you think your political “party” cares about you, your burying you head in the sand. They (like most of YOU) only care about MONEY! And it makes sense when you THINK about it. “They” are mostly just a bunch of Doctors and LAWYERS!!!
I can see you hate, really hate government and government stupidity.
You really should stop complaining and do something like just go live where you feel there either is “no government” or the “government is smart”! After a year or two, report back how beautiful things are.
Everyone would love to hear your choice of a place to live where there is “no government” or “smart government”. Places as you say, the hands of law abiding citizens are not bound (in places of “no government” by definition everyone is law abiding).
Hokum.

If you’re off probation, see about getting your record expunged. There are plenty of companies which specialize in this service. Should be between $500-1000 for them to file the paperwork. Bad luck Obama.
Bring Snowden back to sort this out.
Sometimes government wants you to believe they’re naïve.
