GROKLAW
Here’s the new SCO memorandum and some analysis from groklaw. This tells me I should go update my SCO timeline.

  1. Cyber Lucky says:

A few months ago I hire Shorty, Lab at Law, that was programmed with Yellow Dog Linux http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/. He sent me a court brief formatted as HTML and I crashed because my ear sensors received Mac signals telling me I was hearing Madonna singing the Beer Barrel Polka and forcing me to crawl under the bed where I crashed. I was rebooted using MSXD and then had an iPod infection for weeks. As it turns out, MSXD processes HTML from Yellow Dog as polka songs because of a Linux programmer in Holland who was developing an application that would make embedded Linux run Windows Media files. Toshiba launched a laptop that is widely rumored to offer the choice of booting Windows Media Center Edition 2004, for full PC capabilities, or a quick-starting embedded Linux environment.

XD/K-9 can’t process this mixed data and Cyber Lucky is considering a class action lawsuit to recover money for Linux users who got burned by somebody because there is no single operating system you can point to and say “that alone is Unix, everything else is not Unix”. You can say I run XD/K-9 and everything else is not XD/K-9. You can’t send me Unix code and say it is Linux. It is not Unix if it is Linux it is still XD because Windows NT is “a form of Unix”. This makes XD/K-9 a cousin of Unix, because it came from a form of Unix because thousands of copies of Unix source code have been circulating within the community for three decades.

Enough already! Cyber Lucky is just a Unix mutt running an Apple GUI in drag, acting like a Windows XP server. I’m so mixed up now I better write Shorty and have myself declared a Unix dog and reformat myself using Linux. At least I have a dog license!

  2. Digital Camcorders…

I really doubt that is true….
