Donald Trump’s big presidential announcement Tuesday was made a little bigger with help from paid actors — at $50 a pop…New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email last Friday to its client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump’s event…

The pay was listed as $50 for less than three hours of work. According to the email, Extra Mile was reaching out to potential extras in partnership with Gotham Government Relations and Communications, a New York-Based political consulting group that has worked with Trump in the past…

Certainly as qualified as any other Republican candidate.

You know Hillary was busing in campaign activists to stand in as ordinary Iowans for her ‘talks with everyday people’ that she did in front of the media?

    • Cap'n Kangaroo says:

And Michelle Bachmann bused in huge numbers and paid for their tickets to win the Iowa Straw Poll the last go around.

And I know for a fact that VP Dick Cheney held a number of “town hall” meetings where you could only enter the hall with the prior selection of both the local Republican and national Republican committes and the VP’s advance political team. I would not be suprised if the entire meeting was run from a script.

    OH YEAH…thank, you, Eideard!!!

  3. jpfitz says:

    OMG…get them while you can!

I had no idea this could be a reality.

I want one, don’t need it, but maybe a lot of fun.

The wife would say “bleep, bleep and WTF is wrong with you.”

  4. NewFormatSux says:

Compared to Hillary, Trump’s speeches are full of substance.
He is also taking more questions from the media.

I’m starting to think Bernie Sanders might actually win, breaking out from his prearranged role originally portrayed in The West Wing.

    • bobbo, in point of fact says:

Close. Like Hilliary, and like most Politicians (sic–in a sense), like ALL OF US…. the problems are mostly self evident (absent a corrupted self interest).

The Leadership absent Today is in identifying the solutions.

NO ONE is setting a course for a sound future as it requires too much pain in the present. No, everyone only talks about imaginary scenarios to slow our descent.

      …………..and then…………we returned to dust.

  5. SKINET says:

A Latino, he has also stated provocatively that in the face of abuse at the hands of the two-party tyranny controlled by the 1%, “we are all black now.”

Maybe they can all fish for votes wearing black-face to be competitive.

  7. Ah_Yea says:

How is he any worse than Hillary?

  8. bobbo, in point of fact says:

Trump: the direct consequence of an Activist Conservative Supreme Court overturning 50 years of campaign finance controls giving our society over to the already TOO RICH.

Too many candidates seeking their own sugar daddies to service, so Trump to remain in the spotlight has to actually run this go around. So far…. with is utter incompetency outside of bankrupting real estate deals…. he might find himself in jail for campaign finance fraud………….if the rules are enforced. Did I say the country has been given over to the already TOO RICH?

    Just ……….. look.

    • NewFormatSux says:

The new rules make it less necessary to run as he can spend the money on other candidates, just like Eugene McCarthy was financed by 5 rich people under the old old regime. A candidate spending on themselves is unlikely to commit any campaign finance violations.

      • bobbo, in point of fact says:

Well, as too often, that makes no sense at all. Can you review and repost?

As to violations of Campaign Laws: if Trump hired actors to fill the audience, that expense needs to be reported to the Feds. Last heard, Trump was denying he hired actors.

Assuming he did hire actors…he’s gonna violate the law, or admit he……lied/made a mistake/fired someone?

        • NewFormatSux says:

LOL, so you are now an expert in campaign finance law?

          • bobbo, in point of fact says:

How much expertise does it take to apply: “you must report all your campaign expenses?”

            SFN==your quick wit is fading.

    Damn, I love that picture!

  10. orchidcup says:

The Donald catches a lot of flack because of the manner in which he arranges his hairdo.

If everyone combed their hair forward, nobody would notice he is a clown.

His racist views are conformed to the majority of the Republican base and his net worth qualifies him to be a Presidential candidate.

    I don’t see a problem.

Put him in the Troll Hall of Fame! Troll game: expert

  12. SKINET says:

The politicians just create the illusion of choice. You don’t have choice, you have owners. They own you. Trump can afford to pay to play. He’ll have the best chance of winning with a more deluded public. Your pension, Social Security, savings, healthcare are all going to be gone. They want it all back and they’ll get it. He’s really just another politician claiming he isn’t, which adds to the illusion and helps create more deluded well wishers looking for a sugar daddy.
