Wow! Who saw that coming? What’s next – equality for women?

  1. JoJo says:

    Whats next?

  2. Heaven Knows says:

Why do I think this thread is not going to end well for the Pope?

  3. MikeN says:

When will gays welcome the Pope?

  4. Likes2LOL says:

I thought Pope Francis summed it up pretty well when he asked, “Who am I to judge?” — kind of like that quip from JC himself about throwing the first stone…

On Gay Priests, Pope Francis Asks, ‘Who Am I to Judge?’ – NYTimes.com http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/30/world/europe/pope-francis-gay-priests.html

But, to those who DO like to judge, all this gay tolerance talk makes this Pope a candy-assed HERETIC. He risks becoming the first Pope to be burned at the stake by an unruly mob — I hope his security is better than the Secret Service!

  5. OK, who photoshopped that picture?

  6. Cephus says:

How long until the Vatican releases a “correction” and tells people the Pope didn’t really mean it?

  7. Conceited Jerk (or so say the IDIOTS!) says:

With people reproducing like rats and placing more needy mouths that will require more demands of the earth and it’s resources, I can see why homosexuality would start to be encouraged. And it should be no surprise that this new attitude would come from a group of morons who’s whole believe structure is based on a non earthly existence. (We’ll just ignore that whole “magic man in the sky” pretending to be everyone’s MASTER and the historical hypocrisy these people choose to remain blind to.)

Personally, I could care less since neither group has anything to really offer those of us already here. Nevertheless, good for you Pope Dope! It’s about time to get out of the dark ages.

  8. Scott M. says:

Religion relies on the difference between groups in order to exert control over their “believers.” Those who are indoctrinated in the dogma and embrace it are “in”, everyone else is assigned a “less than desirable” status.

But what if membership is dropping? Then the dogma needs to adjust to suit the realities of the pool of potential new members. Admitting those who were once shunned creates an rift with those who were formerly instructed to shun such new members.

You gain some, you sew the seeds of doubt in your flock, you lose some. If you adjust your dogma too much, pretty soon you end up having no group to shun. Soon, everyone is acceptable.

Hold on just a minute. Universal acceptance? Learning to love everyone no matter their individual circumstance. How unthinkable! Who ever would propose such a radical idea?

  9. Here's a suggestion says:

    Hijack alert,

    Enough about the Pope.

Can we talk about technology and its impact on the control or spread of Ebola?

    • NewFormatSux says:

Airplanes and other forms of modern transportation make the spread of Ebola more likely. This hijacking is like Stephen Seagal in Executive Decision.

    • Send me your infected says:

So there’s no travel ban. …because that would be bad?

      Let me get this straight:

      1. If we let people from West Africa come to the United States, they will be honest and admit if they have contacted possibly infected people.

As a result, our government will immediately direct them to the proper health authorities for treatment.

      2. If we ban direct travel from West Africa to the U.S., these people will travel to another country first, then to the U.S., then lie about where they really came from.

Authorities will believe them and let them in. Once in, these people will seek medical care if they later show symptoms.

Either way, people in West Africa who want free healthcare for possible Ebola infection will find a way into the United States. Either way, the burden of care is on the U.S. healthcare system.

Why shouldn’t all West Africans do whatever they can to enter the U.S. I would.

      • Send me your infected says:

I should have said “the BEST free healthcare”.

Once in, the President should give them each a warm handshake, as a show of confidence.

        • Jay's friend Silent Bob says:

“”Once in, the President should give them each a warm handshake

          He’s giving immigrants Obola, Yo!!!

  10. Tim says:

I’m withholding judgement until I’m able to wedge behind a paywall or something to clarify his position on lemmiLevite’s or contraindicated thereof as efficatious profilactic to sleeping with a dirty whore on purple bed sheets and riding around in substandard, self-meek (really?? the strong will just beat them up and take it back again…) , umm.. Holey See.

  11. WmDE says:

    Is the Pope Catholic?

    • Can't stop says:

      Does a fat dog fart?

      Can Obama under-deliver?

Is Harry Reid a demented old circus monkey?

    • Tim says:

Good question. For supposedly being the apocryphal ‘mother of the daughter whores’, I find I like the dude. Puzzling.

  12. observer says:

I suppose next the Church will be advocating going easy on pedophiles. Oh wait…

  13. The REAL Deal says:

Probably just the start of being able to PUBLICLY and OPENLY excuse all the pedophile priests in the Church. And yet, they will somehow still be able to use religion/SUPERSTITION as a basis of hatred and discrimination.

  14. orchidcup says:

    What’s next?

The Pope will come out as gay.

Then he will be assassinated by a Protestant.

Then an asteroid will hit the Earth and humans will become extinct.

Nine million years later, intelligent life evolves on Earth.

  15. More Cowbell says:

Come on XSA, is that all you got?

    Give us more eXceSsive rAmblings!
