I think you mean “Duel”.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=8n7m_7e8vxE
I’ll bet he needed a change of underwear after that. Plus a new set of tires, I’ll bet his tires had some nice flat spots on them.
Uncle Dave, it’s the movie Duel, and yeah I’m that old, saw it on the TV back then.
Dual/duel. Damn English language.
duel
no rage involved

FUCKING PHONE HEADS!
BOTH OF THEM!!!
Or haven’t you noticed the MAJORITY of drivers in 1st world countries (USA, Canada, Europe, etc.) think with their DICKS and act like ASSES anytime someone else inconveniences them in their PORTABLE LIVING ROOM?!
And rather than deal with these bad drivers BEHAVIOR by imposing license suspension, incarceration, etc., the geniuses in charge of ENFORCEMENT decide to increase mommy & daddy’s power (aka “government”) on EVERYONE with more insane rules, laws and especially more taxes/fines! “It’s for (y)our own good!”
It might also explain why the “dummy-crats” are (still) in power too. Spending time and MONEY that the public can’t afford on total bullshit that only makes things WORSE!
Let’s all watch how some dumb-ass now proposes a new law that makes it even more illegal to not stop when 2 or more vehicles cause damage. Maybe, it’s already happened!
And to those moronic legislators and law enforcers I say; waste time, why don’t you? Make more laws regulating COMMON SENSE, why don’t you? Never mind any EXISTING laws that make things like ATTEMPTED MURDER, ASSAULT or even plain old “BATTERY” something to consider. You government assholes won’t do that unless there are ways to add in more fines! “Protect and Serve” WHO?! Motherfucker!!! (It’s so typical of liberal assholes trying to leash everyone. And it’s not like the right side doesn’t play along either — all too often they’re the cops!)
Remember… Laws are good for lawyers.
Bad laws are even better. They write ’em, they collect astronomical fees to argue ’em, they sue over them, they collect more astronomical fees… and then they re-write them to be even more obtuse.
Shampoo. Rinse. Repeat.
Oh, I’m old enough to remember Duel. Great film. Made for TV originally, but I think later released for theaters. I’ll never forget the sound of that flaming truck going over the cliff.
I’m also reminded of an old Bill Cosby comedy bit about falling asleep at the wheel and waking up going sideways down the highway.
But from the Snopes article, first of all this was in Britain, and second, the car was a Renault. Those two items answer a lot of the obvious questions.
“I’ll never forget the sound of that flaming truck going over the cliff.”
The look of the tractor trailer in that “death scene” reminded me of a slow motion Evil Knievel crash.
“I said Move!! Move!!”
Duel was one of the best made for TV movies ever. I was too young too see the original airing. Fortunately, due to its quality and popularity, it aired throughout the 1970s and early 1980s on network affiliates and independent broadcast stations – the late show before sign off or for the network affiliates in particular, the afternoon movie.
Bizarre indeed!
Here is the final results of the accident.
