Minnesota police arrested a burglary suspect who apparently forgot to log out of Facebook after checking his profile during a break-in at a St. Paul home.

The homeowner came back to his house and found that credit cards, cash and a watch were missing. The thief had also left behind a pair of Nike tennis shoes, jeans and a belt that he apparently discarded because it had been raining outside.

He also left behind his information on James Wood’s computer.

“World’s dumbest criminal,” Wood told CBS Minnesota. “I don’t know. I started to panic, but then I noticed he had pulled up his Facebook profile.”

Wood began posting on Nicholas Wig’s profile and the 26-year-old eventually texted him. After they made a plan to meet up later to exchange items, Wood went for a walk. He then spotted Wig on the street and called police…

When Wig was arrested, he was wearing Wood’s watch.

    I suppose it is a good idea not to leave clothing and shoes behind after burglarizing a home and checking Facebook.

    Thank goodness for stupid criminals! However…

    Do you think the the American educational system just might have something to do with this? Or Hollywood?! Do you think this guy actually went to school or ever even had a chance to learn how to THINK?! Because a more conspiracy minded individual might actually believe that there was a plot involved where this guy simply became a victim. (I’m not trying to give his lawyer any sort of ideas at a defense here, but it’s not like this kind of theory hasn’t been tried before.)

    When kids are failed to be taught by the educational system and then allowed to be mind washed by Hollywood with their films, TV, video games, etc., it would seem like there is an actual effort afoot to make the job of the police that much easier.

    Then again! When you look at the the demands by the population on it’s entertainment industry (where coaching football is often the highest paid profession in the very system that says it values learning) it does seem likely that there is no plot whatsoever and that there really are an extraordinarily high number of stupid people walking around — even educated people!
