Never in all my born days have I heard such trash talking before the Olympics. It’s a darn shame. It’s not just what they are saying but what they are not saying. Le mot du jour: creepy? It’s been creepy since Congress returned from summer vacation 2013 & did not kill the PATRIOT Act that very day. Since then, nothing substantial has happened to stop the NSA. The malefactors are still malefacting, only faster & larger.
National Security Letters are still legal? A secret tribunal is legal. Dragnet surveillance is legal, ya say? That word “legal” takes on less & less meaning as months slide by. Soon it will mean nothing. That is very Nazi-like of us. Can you not see it? The Ministry of Justice is right around the corner.
There was a six-hour Snowden interview? This is the first I’m hearing about it. First & last, apparently. Has it been “disappeared” entirely? I’m not clear on that. How long do they figure they can keep it bottled up? Who made the record & where is it?
Another creepy thing is the zeal to shut people up. (First Amendment? Land o’ the Free?) Will only get worse as long as the malefactors are allowed to run the show. They WILL shut you up. It is appalling the lengths to which they will go to shut you (& me) up. Thank you for your courage—slave.
The rooftop snipers in Cairo left the skulls of “dissidents” in two parts. The upper part was vaporized & the lower part, still attached at the neck, was an empty brainpan. (That narrative may be apocryphal but I still like it. Birds find the little pieces.)
