  1. The Monster's Lawyer says:

What’s new here? My kids are always blaming me.

  2. bobbo, one Real Liberal making Obama a Moderate Conservative by comparison says:

Agreed. They should be HAPPY to be born with $45,000 of debt and a crumbling education system. Learning to be self reliant is what the free enterprise “I Got Mine, Screw YOU!” Republican party is all about.

    • Derek says:

Government reliance. That’s what the “I’m turning down raises because I can’t afford to loose my government assistance” Democrat party is all about. And now they want to set a new barrier at $250,000, so that you will have to turn down business because you wont be able to afford the astronomical hike in taxes. Surely there are no small businesses that make over $250,000, right?

  3. MikeN says:

That’s a textbook hostage tape. Just watch it again.

  4. Jim says:

Why was there no pop up ad on this video?

  5. Kahless says:

On a bit of a tangent… I think it’s interesting that when conservatives complain about Obama not doing anything, liberals reply that he hasn’t been able to do anything because of congress. Then they trot out all the horrible things that Romney (supposedly?) wants to do with the implication that once he’s in office he’ll immediately destroy everything. The real answer is that the President doesn’t much matter, because he can’t do much unless congress will agree to it. Just interesting.

  6. MikeN says:

Perhaps if the hosta, err kids, realized that climate scientists were lying to them.

“We have simply noted at RC in the comments that the paper does appear to have been retracted from the AMS website, and we have no further information as to why. I will share this w/ Eric and Gavin so they know the status,”

But Mann and the rest of RealClimate.org knew the status.

  7. Mark says:

Reading the comments causes me much more concern than watching the video.

We have become a nation run by accountants and lawyers. We have taught our kids well to value power and money over everything else. This too shall bite us in the end when we are in the later phases of our lives and we get shoveled into the most cost effective hole to be forgotten until we die.

Grow the economy they all say, but at some point, growth will be a problem. How many people do we want on this planet? How many can it support? How do we even ask the right questions?

I spent my 25 years in a manufacturing industry, now I teach. I do my best to teach my students to think. I don’t care if you are this or that, use your brain. If they disagree with my standing on a specific point, fine, we can discuss it, I can be proven wrong. But using sound bites of “Binders full of women” or “not born here” are mindless distractions from the real issues that need to be addressed.

    • MikeN says:

You speak of issues that might have been a concern 30 years ago. Europe’s birthrate is below replacement, and will become mostly Muslim. US is at replacement level, and is growing through immigration. Even China and India have seen birthrates fall. South America’s birth rate has fallen as well. Japan and Russia are shrinking, and the Russians are giving out bonuses to have babies.

  8. deowll says:

This is creepy. I don’t know who came up with it but looks like something I’d expect to come out of N. Korea.
