WASHINGTON – Using a Pakistani Internet Protocol, or IP address, a disposable credit card and a fake address, “Osama bin Laden” has successfully donated twice to Barack Obama’s presidential re-election campaign.

The “Bin Laden” donations, actually made by WND staff, included a listed occupation of “deceased terror chief” and a stated employer of “al-Qaida.” “Bin Laden” is currently set up on the official campaign website to contribute more to Obama’s campaign. The name is also registered as a volunteer.

Since the “foreign” contribution was sent, “Bin Laden’s” email address has received several solicitations from Obama’s campaign asking for more donations. The apparently foreign-based contributions were conducted as a test after a flurry of media reports described the ability of foreigners to donate to the Obama campaign but not to Mitt Romney’s site, which has placed safeguards against such efforts.

The acceptance of foreign contributions is strictly illegal under U.S. campaign finance law.

One $15 donation was made at BarackObama.com using a confirmed Pakistani IP address. In other words, as far as the campaign website was concerned, the donation was openly identified electronically as coming from Pakistan. The email address used to set up the donation account was osama4obama2012@gmail.com.

After clicking “next,” the website asked for an employer, occupation and a password to set up future donations. WND staff entered the occupation as “deceased terror chief” and the employer as “al-Qaida.”

The transaction was made last Friday with the use of a disposable credit card. The website did not require the card’s security code.

Disclaimer: For the record, Osama bin Laden hasn’t “officially” endorsed either candidate.

  1. So what says:

At least he doesn’t hold a grudge.

  2. MikeN says:

According to polling, Romney is more popular than Obama in Pakistan. Amazing what drone strikes do to one’s popularity.

    O

    • ± says:

Wow. Thanks for that. It’s a good thing Pakistanis don’t vote (mostly I guess) over here.

      • Nate says:

Yes, because we mostly only have to suffer having Israelis vote in our elections.

  3. MikeN says:

Faux Osama would not have been able to buy anything from the campaign website, as that operates with security. They merely shut it off for collecting donations.

  4. Phydeau says:

Wow, morbidly fascinating to see how low the Republicans will stoop.

    • bobbo, one Real Liberal making Obama a Moderate Conservative by comparison says:

As much as the Pukes disgust me, and the close running of Rmoney is quite dismaying, I assume this is a college prank devoid of political intent.

And to that issue, it is kinda funny.

    • MikeN says:

The key is Obama has deliberately weakened his website to allow foreign donations, which is against the law. This would not work on Romney’s site, because they have activated the default checks. In fact it would not work on Obama’s site for buying campaign gear, because there they would need to be careful to avoid chargebacks.

  5. MikeN says:

This site posted about Republican dirty tricks in putting up Alvin Greene in a Senate campaign for Democrats. Why no post about Democrats funding the Libertarian candidate in Montana?

    • bobbo, one Real Liberal making Obama a Moderate Conservative by comparison says:

Hear, Hear–why no post about the First Storm of the Century? consistent with but not proof of Global Warming….. but I’ll bet down at Battery Park a few good souls with water up to their knees are starting to believe it.

Over Under Bet of the Day: how many Storms of the Century will it take before Human Caused Global Warming is accepted by 70% of the peeples?

I say: 25 years. We need to wait for the next generation.

There, there. A deaf, dumb, and blind man will LOOK but not see. There, there.

      • Logic says:

Um, how does the storm prove Human Caused Global Warming?

        Oh wait, it doesn’t.

25 years? Only because schoolgirls are being indoctrinated like Hitler youth….

        • MikeN says:

Hurricanes have had no increase. The key is what Stephen Schneider said,”We need to offer up scary scenarios…”

        • Mextli says:

Where do you start counting, the hurricane in 1938 that played hell in New England?

      • MikeN says:

Don’t worry. Your call is being answered by Meghan McCain.

      • ± says:

No storm is proof of AGW. But wait, how come an avowed liberal like you uses the term “global warming”? That was abandoned years ago now in favor of the obfuscating “climate change”.

Global warming is obviously as easy to prove as adding up X thermometer readings and then dividing the result by X. No sane person will dispute that the planet is getting warmer. So why did lying sack of shit liberals change the term to the less clear “climate change” when everyone knows that global warming is true? Answer = that it is to support the agenda associated with blaming the influence of humans as the fundamental cause.

  6. Ah_Yea says:

Why is this a dirty trick?
Did Obama accept illegal campaign contributions or not?
Why doesn’t Obama use security like Romney does?

    • jbenson2 says:

Excellent point. This is not a dirty trick. It is illegal for a Presidential campaign to accept donations for foreign non-citizen sources.

The Dvorak Uncensored (aka dumbocrat) post is a typical “shoot the messenger” reaction.

      • Ah_Yea says:

In the past, this would have been called “Investigative Journalism”.

Shows how quickly and completely our news sources have been compromised.

  7. Ah_Yea says:

I would like to see Romney remove the Executive Privilege in Fast and Furious.

As Chief Executive he has the authority to do that so he can discover if it’s a true coverup of intimate involvement by Obama or if the ATF has grown so large that they can run amok without any real restraints or overview.

    I’m betting it’s the former.

    • MikeN says:

Not gonna happen. He won’t do anything about Libya either. He got tipped off prior to the 3rd debate the real story. Obama held back because he didn’t want to reveal CIA involvement in smuggling guns to Syria.

  8. JohnK says:

Maybe they knew something. Like, say, they knew he was dead, since the Pres. had him offed. But, not to worry, though you won’t be able to get the Pres. on this one, you will have fours years to impeach him.

  9. tcc3 says:

They used a (fake) US address – not exactly a good test.

Id be curious about the source of the CC: I wonder if using a US sourced card or not would have mattered.

Perhaps more security is needed – but identifying location is tough, as they proved with their proxy trick.

Also there are americans living abroad – its perfectly legal for them to contribute.

The headline might well read “Internet Credit Card Payment Bot Doenst Understand Federal Election Law”

  10. Root says:

Credit card charges are commonly deducted from balances during processing holding periods. If the amount was returned to the credit card balance, I would suspect that World Nut Daily wouldn’t bother reporting the return to it’s readers.

Anywho, investigate away but the evidence would be much more believable if it came from a much less biased source.

  11. Captain Obvious says:

Obviously fake but funny. I’m still amazed the mainstream media hasn’t picked up on Romney’s homosexual affair when he was a Mormon missionary in France.

  12. McCullough says:

    More please

  13. Bob73 says:

    “actually made by WND staff”
    Yeah, right

  14. MikeN says:

Obama called the Seals, and the Seals got Osama.
The Seals called Obama, and the Seals got denied.

  15. deowll says:

It is clear that team Obama is breaking the laws relating to such issues but as long as they are the ones enforcing the laws they don’t care.
