UPDATE: Something odd is happening in Saturn’s rings.

Outer Space from Sander van den Berg.

“The footage in this video is derived from image sequences from NASA’s Cassini and Voyager missions. I downloaded a large amount of raw images to create the video.”

Outstanding effort. If you have ever gone to the JPL site and tried to sort through raw images (think file # hell and no titles) you would admire the effort even more.

    Great Job!

    Fantastic photos – thank you!

Comcast ISP is hit or miss this week and I can’t surf per normal.

The big news in space today was that 15 foot meteor that created sonic boom and light show over California this morning. Too far South for me. Not detected until it hit.

Ahhhhh, Tungusta! …….. the final frontier!

  4. Dallas says:

    Very cool.

  5. uranus_kling_ons says:

Quite sure the great red spot images at about 1:11 is Jupiter.

  6. The0ne says:

Amazing! Thanks for the share. Last time I had a good look at Saturn was over 20 years ago. At the time it was the “right” time so I headed up to Polomar mountain to the observator and saw Saturn with its rings 🙂 Thanks again.

  7. Harry says:

I love this stuff have watched “Planets” on The Science Channel many times. I am also fascinated by the theories on the birth of the Universe.

  8. NelsonOH says:

Thank you for putting that together. It was a pleasure to watch. Your selection of music was fitting too. I’d like to know the title of that composition. Those who enjoy space and music might be interested to know that the Moody Blues album “Long Distance Voyager” features the Voyager space probe at the top of the album cover.
