The Europeans are having problems with the skyrocketing Muslim population on their continent and the types of demands that demographic makes on their host country.
We’re no different. If a black person commits a crime in this country, the liberal media outlet tries to ignore skin color because they see it as patently offensive rather than it helps the public to filter out who to look for in an all points bulletin.

We live in a society of double standards. It’s okay to make fun of physical attributes such as obesity, baldness, etc. But to make fun of other physical attributes (i.e. skin color) is patently offensive.
I’ve lived in Europe. They have a Muslim problem. It’s a culture clash over there. The average European family has about one child. The average Muslim family is probably having 4 or more children. Europe is going through a rapid demographic change.
If you’re a European cartoonist and crack a joke about Muhammad, you’re liable to get death threats. Western culture is getting used to that it seems.
This guy is seeing it and rather than adapting, he vented the way he did.

No I don’t agree with Brevik’s perception of a Muslim problem.
I am stating from personal observation OUTSIDE of whatever view he may or may not have that Europe does have a Muslim problem.
When France was against the U.S. when we went into Iraq, much of that was trying to soothe the growing and vocal Muslim population.
What motivations does the media have when they filter out a riot done by Muslim youths as simply a riot of youths? Too much information for the public to read? Details were unimportant?
As an observer, I can tell you Europe has its problems. It’s a CULTURAL thing.
In our country, we have all sorts of problems in the same context. Be it race, gender, etc. Will someone eventually snap? Probably so.
And when they do, will I be agreeing with the way that individual perceives things? Nope. But the fact is there is a problem.

According to the statistics, 86% of murders committed by African Americans, the victim is black as well.
The media in the USA show an callous indifference to the plight of African Americans in this country, because they don’t care if black people are suffering and are not interested in the kind of solutions that would help.
Instead, our media does lip service to civil rights when sensationalism will make a profit, but otherwise have no interest in the black community.
As a rule of thumb, Republicans never get any African American votes and Democrats don’t have to materially care either since it is not like black people have an alternative.
The media these days is just lip service to the two parties, so there is no news interest in promoting the actual general welfare of the African America community.
If violent crime rises in a predominantly white neighborhood, the media will be up in arms because Democrats and Republicans fight for those voters.
This is how deep that racism is embedded in our two party system. Trayvon Martin rose to prominence not because of race, but because of the political opportunity for a political fight about gun laws while doing lip service to the idea that it was about race.

Perhaps people should quit listening to the distorted media and learn how to use Google and find the real current photo of Trayvon, not his “innocent” school photo at 11-12 years of age, but his current photo with tattoos and gangsta gold teeth, not to mention the actual records of his drug dealing, b&e toolkit and robberies, etc. There is a reason why the Martin lawyers have had his school records locked when the shtf. And then maybe check out the full 911 call, not the version that was edited by the news media.

When the UK was in the midst of (US funded) terrorism, the criminals were killing anyone and everyone. Children were part of the target then but this guy targeted teenagers specifically.
The jail might be “cosy” but his fellow inmates won’t be and they will make it bad for him. He may spend the rest of his life in solitary.
