Well instead of cards he could have just coldly killed her and her lover and then had it plead down to manslaughter due to a crime of passion.

Awesome. He’s taken control of the situation by showing everyone he knows what was going on. No doubt Vivian would have been telling all their friends that Bill was crazy, or abusive and imagining things. (Cheaters always deny and try to turn the accusations around.) Plus, Bill doesn’t have to answer a bunch of individual awkward questions.
I have a cousin whose wife cheated on him right before Xmas a few years back and they split. There was a bunch of rumors that went around the family until he set them to rest by telling everyone individually about how she had been screwing her boss. BTW, she was one batshit crazy bitch.
