The acting is Very Sixties, acting “on the edge” in that time.
These days, Helen Mirren is a first rate actress.
She’s still hawt as an older woman.
Maybe I’m different, or from a different era, but acting sexy is a total turnoff to me.
A pretty woman that tries to contain her sexiness, to act like it doesn’t exist, is a lot more interesting. The Marilyn Monroe way isn’t interesing, probably because after the 60s, women felt they had to flaunt themselves.

I think she was at her most sexy in the movie ‘The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover’. She is also an incredibly talented actor.

I saw one of Helen’s early movies. Placed in Australia I think where she was a temptress to some old guy prospecting or something. Had a nude scene, she was coming on to him as the only man or the newest man in the area?
I felt sad for her just as I did watching this video, just as I do for all young wimmen who must sex it up for our popular culture. Type cast: “Get me some young fresh meat no one has seen before.” ((Sub Text: won’t cost us any money)). Getting pretty raw out there. “Lady” (sic) Gaga? Ha, ha. Ain’t no lady there in that stripper regardless of how “empowered” she has taught herself to talk.

My favorite actress from the generation of this video is Diana Rigg. Mrs. Emma Peel from the Avenger’s, Lady MacBeth on stage with Anthony Hopkins’ MacBeth, and Tracy from “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”.
For some reason, she doesn’t seem to be a popular “bond girl”.
The acting was bad.
The _woman_ was hot.
She looked like a real female/woman in the prime of life rather than an anorexic but no more so that hundreds of thousands of other women.
Look for a movie called “Excalibur”…. she was hot!
I’ve always thought she was spectacular. And I think she’s done nothing but get better with age.
