You should seriously shill for Podcast licences out of the back of the camper.

At $33.33 a pop you can make this an attractive feature.

You get a web site up, get pay pal or credit cards to process the orders, and pump out PDFs of the certificates numbered personalized with the suck.. er, purchasers’ name and podcast and signed by both JCD and AC.

Get ‘er done by the time you get to New York and you can sell me one.

You can even make the entire cost of the trip tax deductible.

Is Syria the next to go?

Tunisia and Egypt were accidents and of no real significance to the ‘States and of no consequence.

Libya is of some consequence to Europe which is why they’re there with boots on the ground.

Nah, it would benefit the ‘States more to quell (or quash) Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia. where the pirates come from and threaten shipping.

Think of a cheap Hell Hole, like Cuba, and we’re so there man.

The War on Terror©™® started in Afghanistan (uselessly so, but I won’t go into that here,) shifted to Iraq (mostly because Shrub has some daddy issues,) and is metastasizing all over the Islamist north of Africa.

It would behoove the ‘States to take care of the small stuff first, weak countries and failed states that are giving us trouble, and keep that oil flowing freely, (that may not be the proper adjective, smoothly would probably be better, unctuously might be the most appropriate,) while Phase II of the electrification of America can continue, replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy sources.

122 surgical tomahawks can’t be wrong

    Manifest Destiny

    Syria on deck!

    But why?

North Africa was obvious for 70 years

    But Syria??

  5. bobbo, the pragmatic Libertarian says:

I don’t think anywhere is next. Even Obama recognizes the “limits” of the American voter to unwanted overseas unilateral wars of choice. And thats whether or not the wars are justified and in America’s long or even short term interests, and with Syria having no oil, there is no interest there.

Looks to me like the PUKES are going to take the no increase in National Debt Issue right up to the final deadline==which might be past the time the world reacts to the uncertainty/value of American debt thereby affecting Americas ability to print money causing a ripple effect on every unpaid for adventure of our chest thumping politicians.

No, the next war and destruction will be the American economy.

I’m just guessing, but its more relevant than Syria==and less avoidable. Some day you guys will wake up==wagging the dog. Works every time until the dog dies.

  6. deowll says:

Egypt for decades has been one of our strongest allies in the middle east. I would not count on it now.

If OBama felt bad about running the super power we are rapidly reaching a place were we aren’t going to be the super power.

  7. TThor says:

First half was particularly painful, Adam showing his not to attractive side. And I hate hearing John back off when Adam starts with his bitching. This is a dialog podcast and that Adam seems to have a hard time realizing. Get the balance back. It is not nice to hear egos quarrel. Too much of it elsewhere, so it continues – I am done.

  8. Kent says:

Garry Johnson – be confrontational! Ask he why he wants to keep Gitmo open and if he’s in the Koch brother’s pocket?

  9. SR9 says:

Hey! I have one of those First Class Radiotelephone Operator’s Licenses, too~!
Got mine in 1978, after taking and passing the test at the Customs House on Battery Street in SF. Before they simply started teaching all the answers to the questions…..
After a time, the First Phone was changed to the General Radiotelephone, and THEN, any asshole could operate a broadcast transmitter, as long as ONE person had the license.
Now, I don’t think anyone cares at all.
I have my original posted next to my Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator/Station License. Again, I got mine when you actually had to go to the FCC and pass a REAL test, not simply learn the answers to the provided questions. Also had to copy 20 words per minute of code.
Ah, well. Those were the days. Now every idiot has a cell phone.
