NOW, can we finally start talking about real issues?

The White House on Wednesday released President Barack Obama’s original “Certificate of Live Birth” from Hawaii amid persistent questions about his citizenship.

The long-form birth certificate, which the White House requested, says Mr. Obama was born at 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu. The White House said Hawaii doesn’t generally release long-form birth certificates but did so at the president’s request.

The administration previously released a less detailed version of Mr. Obama’s birth certificate.

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said the decision to release the document came because “the president was struck by how this was crowding out the debate” on the budget.” He added that “it became an issue that transcended” the Internet and conspiracy theorists and had moved into the mainstream.

“The president decided to do this…because this was a sideshow that’s distracting from” significant issues, Mr. Pfeiffer said.

  1. Ah_Yea says:

Just how won’t it cost him his presidency?

Eric Holder approved it. The trials and publicity will be during Obama’s reelection campaign, etc.

The bad press, along with all the other messes he has gotten into, will be his undoing.

  2. Ah_Yea says:

When you say “supported the program”, do you mean the Obama presidency supported sending weapons to Mexico which was used by drug lords to murder our border agents, Mexican police, and civilians.

And this is ok? That there will be no consequences? That his presidency will survive the reelection?

  3. bobbo, the evangelical anti-theist says:

Guns don’t kill people, people do. Unless its Obama.

Gun nuts don’t vote Dumbo. Net effect: zero.

  4. Ah_Yea says:

Oh great, now Bobbo’s here. Just when we were trying to have an intelligent conversation.

Just for fun, for the Bobbo peanut gallery.

So it’s ok for Liberals to vote for a president that allowed weapons to go to Mexico to support Drug lords, kill DEA officials, Mexican Police, and civilians?

(Why am I talking to Bobbo? He has long lost the ability of rational thought. Probably also has not looked at the links.)

  5. bobbo, the evangelical anti-theist says:

Ah yea==so defensive, ha ha. YOU said this gun running would cost Obama the presidency. If Reagan could personally direct the Guns to Contra Program using drug cartel money from IndoChina, I don’t see why a loose cannon ATF operation would take down Obama.

since when have you been against mindless international gun smuggling?

Well, it is one or two steps higher up the stupid chain from the birth certificate issue, but still mindless.

Heres are word you should look up in the dictionary: relevant.

When Obama is running against Mitt, who cares what ATF did? All Obama has to do is fire a border control agent and the blood lust will be satisfied.

  6. MikeN says:

Ah Yea, search for the other post about the subject, which was posted here a long time ago. Basically, yes I don’t mind having the government try new ideas in the war on drugs. You complain about Border Patrol agents dying, well soldiers die in war.

  7. bobbo, the evangelical anti-theist says:

Mike–just to see if its regressive all the way down, what about the new idea of making drugs legal? What is your objection to it if any given the objective failure of our 80 years or so War on Drugs?

  8. Mr. Fusion says:

Did Alphie change her name to Ah Yea?

  9. foobar says:

Mr Fusion, do a victory lap.

  10. MikeN says:

#224, I’m not against the idea or for it. I just don’t consider it a serious option given that they can’t even do that with tobacco. Lawyers would be all over it, and it would go right back to being a criminal enterprise.

Blog full of D and R voters fouling my nest.

  12. bobbo, change only comes by voting the worse of two parties OUT OF OFFICE says:

Micky==good for you. And wouldn’t society be much better off with drugs having the same impact as tobacco? Your objections to the premise form the very recommendation for it.

    Well done, sir.

  13. Ah_Yea says:

Here we see Ignorance masquerading as a virtue.

“Basically, yes I don’t mind having the government try new ideas in the war on drugs.”

Well, if sending weapons to Mexico to arm the Drug Lords is a “new idea”, the why not give them tanks and planes too?

“I don’t see why a loose cannon ATF operation would take down Obama.”

I bet Nixon thought that way about Watergate. After all, it was just a few guys doing a bit of trespassing, wasn’t it?? BTW, as a history reminder, Iran-Contra came out during the last half of Reagan’s second term. He wasn’t up for reelection. And he was WAY more popular with independents.

As has become obvious, Obama is the most corrupt and dictatorial president in our lifetimes. Any good dictator needs good henchmen foot soldiers goose stepping in line. So good for you guys to volunteer.

  14. foobar says:

Poor Donny doesn’t look amused. Snicker.

  15. Mr. Fusion says:

    #231,

Loved it. The problem is just because Obama is in it, the Regressives won’t even watch it.

Thanks foobar==Oh SNAP!==About 8 in a row. Funny and so true.

So has Trump already signed to do the Apprentice for next season or not?

    The Puke party. Amen.

  17. bobbo, change only comes by voting the worse of two parties OUT OF OFFICE says:

Ah Yea the Alfie of International Travelers==Watergate was run out of the Whitehouse. The Whole point made that you missed was that the gun running was run out of ATF. Basic Stuff.

    Whhhooooooooosh!

You used to be for Palin. Do you see Trump as a bankruptcy expert to be more qualified than Palin as a 2 year governor or is it too close to call?

  18. MikeN says:

    >And wouldn’t society be much better off with drugs having the same impact as tobacco?

Drugs do not have the same impact as tobacco, which is why there is a war on drugs. On top of that, even with your supposed low impact of tobacco, we still have lawyers suing for billions, bans on smoking in various places, and very high taxes, and also possible FDA regulation. What makes you think FDA would allow for the sale of cocaine? They are seizing at the border Easter eggs with toys inside.

  19. MikeN says:

#234 Trump is experienced at going bankrupt and coming out ahead, exactly what the country needs.
