LOL could this be anymore stupid?

    no economic crisis? power grab?

because obama tripled the amount of govt bureaucracies that FDR did in the New Deal, but republicans are making a power grab?

time for you people to quit drinking the kool aid and come back to earth

#35 Simple minds have difficulty with trends, seeing forests for the trees, seeing beneath the surface, discerning cause and effect. You’re the poster child sheeple!!

  3. MikeN says:

    #26, bobbo,

The Democrats disappeared, so the Republicans had to do what was needed to bring them back. By passing the reduction of collective bargaining rights, and making union dues voluntary, and requiring annual union elections, the Republicans removed the main sticking point for the Democrats’ union masters, they are now able to bring Democrats back to pass the rest of the budget, to which the unions did not object too much. I would have preferred they passed even tougher standalone bills as leverage to force the unions to send their Senators back.

By the way, it seems I was wrong about the Wisconsin quorum requirements. The bill that was passed includes provisions that state workers have to pay more into their pensions and health care. Are you going to claim that those are not fiscal issues either?

  4. MikeN says:

    Bobbo,
Pres Obama wishes to freeze federal pay for 2 years. This would be impossible if federal workers had the collective bargaining rights available to Wisconsin employees. So clearly eliminating collective bargaining is a fiscal measure.

  5. MikeN says:

Should be Democrats using fake union crisis to make the most blatant power grab in American history.
Staying away from the legislature until the majority gives them what they want.

Meanwhile, several posters here (assuming they are not all one bot) are apparently on the Koch payroll.

And before T.E.A.D. accuses me of being on Soros’ payroll, if I am, he’s awfully late with his checks!

If there was any justice left in the United States, Bradley Manning would be walking around a free and respected man and you traitors would all be in jail, waiting for the firing squads to form up.

Why can’t you see, when your fellow Americans lose their freedom to bargain collectively, it diminishes all of your freedoms too? What’s next?

Will they target you or your families next? Why wouldn’t they?

I just don’t see what you guys get out of giving up your own freedom without a fight and in fact, giving aid and comfort to the enemy enslaving you.

Benedict Arnold is alive and well.

  9. Dallas says:

    #44 Agreed.

The right wingnutts have always wanted to cuddle under the warm blanket of corporate America. They just don’t realize the 50’s are over.

I do see this GOP gamble to sell themselves to USA, Inc as biting them in the ass. Once the sheeple begin to see through the smoke and mirrors, they will have hell to pay.

Note it took the sheeple 3 years to understand that starting two wars and paying for it with a tax cut is additive, not subtractive. The good thing is spending is now on sheeple news which is good.

Bradley Manning needs to be in jail.

  10. MikeN says:

#44, about half the states and the Federal Government don’t let workers bargain collectively. Will you protest Pres Obama’s repression of federal workers’ freedom?

  11. Forces of Repression says:

    #46 MikeN

    Yes.
