Wait, is X3 John’s new, shorter, Cranky Geeks?!? How come there wasn’t a huge post here announcing it?
Well, I just went to x3.mevio.com and there it is. Where the heck have I been?
Who arranged the pr on this, Curry? Finally a JCD show worthy of watching and you guys keep it a secret? I guess I’ll do my best to keep it on the downlow if that’s what you want. But thanks John, it’s good to have you back with more than 3 brain cells no the other mic. You rock big fella.
X3 is like a Chinese takeaway – while it satisfies the immediate hunger for CrankyGeeks, it’s so brief that a few minutes after you’re peckish again.
If you mount 4 hard drives==which I do quite regularly==is the problem only maybe with drives on Channel 2 and/or 3? And if so, will the problem go away if I mount a SATA Optical Drive in 2 and/or 3 with hard drives in Channels 0 and 1 and have the 3rd and 4th hard drive attached via USB external drives?
Oh, what the heck to I care?==I just went AMD.

I loved Cranky Geeks, I will never watch another episode of this.
I miss cranky geeks. I really like JCD but I can’t stand that other guy so I don’t listen to No Agenda. This will fill the void that I was trying to fill with 2600 podcasts and TWiT podcasts.
This is lame. His guests don’t really know anything other than a few scatter facts everyone else already knows. What did he do, go down to Best Buy and grab a few people to interview? Times are tough, and nobody shows it like JCD!
The thing I like about it is that it’s just a “baby step.” Yeah, it don’t look like much now but what ol’ JCD is up to there is, he’s gonna make a bigger show out of little chunks of video. Why sit there for an hour or two with the same soon-to-be-old talking heads. Do segments a piece at a time.

I couldn’t get the video to play. It connects then just stops at 00:00. Tried Firefox and IE 8. Bummer.
I may still have one of the P90s with the floating point issue. Just about the hottest chip going when I bought it. Not sure if it went out when I dumped a couple of old machines or not a few months ago or not. It worked last time I turned it on but that was years ago.
I think it’s fair to say John has failed to push this podcast and they don’t do updates all that often.

If you’re having problems with the video playing, maybe you need to update your version of Flash? I’ve got the latest running on Firefox and it works fine for me.
I did update Flash Player last week because some web games would not play. They still don’t, but my Shockwave Flash is 10.2 r152.26
Irritating to have to “upgrade” to maintain old functionality. “They’re doin’ us!”
