The Spectrum page has links to Jonathan’s Space Report. He mentions that targets launched from San Nicolas Island for airborne laser tests are no longer publicized.
It’s similar in appearance to Orange County object seen on New Year’s Eve 2009. Possibly a contrail, I think the weather was the same. It has to be compared with flight data from radar.
For fun, try this episode from season 1 of The Bionic Woman, “The Deadly Missiles”. Go to Multimedia and Photos then select Episode Player. The episode is episode 6.
It could be a cloud or the contrail from a plane. I think the sunset just makes it look different. Also in the video the “smoke” doesn’t appear to be moving any farther upward. I’m in Chicago and I have seen a lot of weird contrails and clouds during the red sunsets.

It was launched from The Monastery of Santa Catalina of the Siena.

Looks like no airplane contrail I’ve ever seen, and at that distance it seems to be moving pretty fast. On the other hand, the perfect cover story would be to say it’s a missile test, so why all the ridiculous BS.

Most people who live on the coast in California have witnessed one or two missile contrails because Vandenberg shoots one off about once a month. People say it was a missile. Then it was. Also, there was testing. So much for communications problems in the government. Finally, there is so much air traffic over Cal that you never see ONE lone contrail.
This is not the contrail you are looking for, please move along.
Every media outlet seems to be calling it a missile. Nobody would call it a missile unless they were 100% positive that they knew it was a missile.
So, everyone calling it a contrail or like the Pentagon, claiming they have no idea what it is, are full of shit.

Let’s review a couple of facts that are related by time proximity if nothing else:
1. Last week the US lost contact with many missiles.
2. This week a missile is launched. The missile’s contrail seems too large to be amateur.
Hey this reminds me of that B1 bomber with active mounted nuclear weapons that flew across domestic US soil illegally, August 30 2007.
The military did not know how they did that one either. I am still wondering how it got past so many of its checkpoints without anybody noticing.

# 9 Robart video does make it look like a missile. However, relative to the ship moving the span of the frame, this is one slow moving missile.

What’s telling is what’s stated definitively and what’s not.
NORAD: “we can confirm that there is no threat”. To say that, NORAD has to know what it is!!!
NORAD: “this was not a launch by a foreign military”. Again to say that, NORAD has to know what it is!!!
NORAD is well equipped to track this object and judging by what the say definitively it’s not, they must know definitively what it is!!!!
Basically, NORAD knows what it isn’t and what it is. They are just working on creating a cover story to sell the Sheeples.
Could be a large sport rocket fired by somebody that wanted to see how much chaos doing so would cause.

I was trying to find this video to get the link, no luck…what is going on? Has it been deleted? Or is it my senior moment again?
When the guy said “probably hit the wrong button” I was stunned…like: yeah, shit happens, huh? And where did it land???
Maybe it was a mythbusters experiment where they were testing if you can bake a 14 pound turkey and a pumpkin pie in orbit using nothing more than aluminum foil and solar flare magnetism. Perhaps the rocket was part of their experiment to get the foul and pie into orbit, and we are awaiting the final results and the landing technique in a future episode around thanksgiving or Christmas time frame.
