Maybe 20 years ago, when hardware was really expensive, a friend of mine would do this. Did the same with a failed 10Base2 network card and some memory sticks.

One of the reasons I stopped selling on eBay. Too many were returning their dead items and claiming refunds. And good old PayPal provided it. I finally had to visit a few of the deliver to addresses to settle the debts.

  21. Greg Allen says:

    BTW,

Why are items blanked-out on a news report that was published publicly in the first place? Written from a police record that is also public?

    Doesn’t make sense to me.

  22. The Monster's Lawyer says:

#16 Georgie, You are guilty by association if you did not report this to your company. What you described is theft from a company that both of you worked at. He was essentially stealing from you and all your co-workers, not just the company.

  23. retroman81 says:

I did this at my work place
