This is a parody? This is my experience on my 3G. No parody here.

  2. sargasso_c says:

It seems that the “slowness” in the video is in fact all network related. The screens and menus all operate crisply.

  3. Someone Else says:

4.0 on a 3G was a stinker. Kind of like Vista until SP2. Or any Android phone running an ARM11 core.

  4. Zybch says:

    Certainly NOT a parody!
And if like most people you don’t do a manual backup of your phone’s OS and apps and stuyff BEFORE upgrading it to iOS 4 you’re pretty much screwed when you see how god damned slow ‘4’ is and want to go back to 3.x to get the thing working again.
Yes, it can be done, but for the typical iPhone/apple user it might as well be like asking them to do brain surgery.

  5. Kilted Tim says:

Isn’t this about 4 months late?

  6. mcpepants says:

it is not mistake it run like crap. apple is doing this, to get people to upgrade…

  7. dg says:

Old news. They already fixed it.

  8. XYZ says:

4.1 doesn’t fixes anything, the experience remains the same.

  9. steelcobra says:

I have a 3G. It definitely got back towards speedy with the 4.1 update. I very clearly noticed the difference. 4.0: Slow, buggy, painful, just like the vid. 4.1: Back to how it should be.

And with my discounted upgrade in January, I might as well wait for the 4S/5 model to come out next June.

  10. ZZman says:

That’s exactly what it was with the 4.0 before turning the Spotlight search off, it seemed to scan the files all the time and have priority on it.

The 4.1 fixed the 3G for most part, but still some newer apps are too big for the small amount of RAM it has.
