  1. TooManyPuppies says:

John, I’ve got to agree with Adam. The “bad acting” clips from lame shows are tiring. But, do keep the obvious propaganda clips.

  2. nicktherat says:

first half of the show was strange 🙂 damn, you guys messed up mimis trip 😀

  3. ECA says:

    lets see…
Put a clock on the sections of your show..
Even today, there was at least 20-30 min of Those who Donated and those that didnt.

  4. Hawaii Five O
Book them Dana – a classic phrase
It never could been done again properly
    Give up guys
What about a remake of Cranky Geeks
    How would that do ?

  5. jescott418 says:

Whenever a network over hypes such a show like this. You know they think its bad. I could already tell that they took nothing from the Original
show except for the character names and its location. Does networks even know how to make a action series? Or are they just destine for sitcoms?

  6. Rider says:

Considering the stuff John lets Adam babel on about this new gimmick of Adams where he criticizes John and forces him to move on is annoying.

Also I just started listening again after a 3 month break due to the paid name dropping. If the knighthoods and “douche” sections of the show are not drastically cut back I will move on again.

  7. nobodyspecial says:

The new show is groundbreaking in so many ways:

Taking a stiff officer type who does things by the book and combining him with a maverick who goes his own way but gets results was a novel approach.

I was gratified that feminism has now reached such a mainstream audience that we can once more have a female character whose only purpose is to wear a bikini.

I also appreciate the risk the studio was taking by simply taking the title of an old and popular TV play – weren’t they concerned that people would watch this show out of nostalgia rather than judging it on it’s own artistic statements?

  8. Maricopa says:

    # 7 nobodyspecial “Taking a stiff officer type who does things by the book and combining him with a maverick who goes his own way but gets results was a novel approach.”

Yeah, that’s novel. Or maybe this is the first time you’ve watched TV. Been done every season since Car 54 Where Are You?

There was no reason for this show to be called Hawaii 5-O. More like NCIS Los Angeles – Light.

I’d say I won’t be watching but there is that lovely Ms Park…

  9. bobbo, tv addict and couch reviewer says:

    Maricopa–really?

Actually, the personality conflict between the two was the only thing interesting besides the scenery on that show (same as the original) but that appears to be just about resolved in the first show. I’ll watch show #2 and be surprised if I watch any more.

Every time I watch a show/movie that has our hero killing bad guys with his hand gun while the badies miss with their automatic weapons, I know that cartoons are more expensive to make. Hooman actors cheaper to film.

Silly empty show. Terriers is excellent so far though. Think The Dude Lebowski’s older more angst ridden brother.

  10. The0ne says:

The commercials where bad enough, you guys actually watch this remake? Wow…brave indeed. I’ll stick to the old…since i”m old 😀

  11. Animby - just phoning it in says:

Bobbo – I loved the Big Lebowski. So, taking your recommendation above, I downloaded the first three episodes of Terriers. After watching the first show I have to say, other than the lead actor’s appearance, I fail to see The Dude. But I thought it was a pretty good program. Thanks for the suggestion.
