Here’s the business model that Microsoft should adopt. Give Windows 7 away. Charge for the patches and bug fixes. Figure $10 a month, that’s $120 a year to keep your PC safe. They’d clean up! And a free OS would put Apple out of business. And give Linux a run for its (well, no) money. Not that that’s a good thing.

  4. Glenn E. says:

The plankton is dying, Global Warming. The plankton is thriving, Global Warming again. The plankton is doing neither. Guess what’s the reason?

This reminds mean of when those oil wells were set ablaze in Kuwait. And they were saying this will increase G.W. But skeptics pointed out that a decade earlier. Massive fires caused by nukes were predicted to cause a “nuclear winter” effect. So how are oil well fires any different from towns, cities and forests on fire? All the scientists could say was “Obviously, the laymen are confused”. Well Duh!! Thank for that non-answer. How about giving us a non-confusing explanation?

When scientists can’t explain what the heck they’re talking about, so they don’t sound contradictory over time. Then their science reasoning is faulty!

What they started with, was the assumption that human being are responsible for screwing up the environment. And that their effect had the greatest cause. Over natural fluctuations and variations. Which they had no way of proving. But figured they’d get the biggest bang for the buck, saying it was so. So then they started looking for environmental trends to blame on mankind’s progress. And at first they saw it was getting colder (1978-9). So that’s when the Nuclear Winter and Acid Rain scare hit the fan. But later they changed their minds and started blaming air pollutants for cooking us to death. And began touting the numbers that way.

So plankton is supposedly on the decrease. While insects likes mosquitoes are on the increase. Except bees are on the decrease. So depending on whatever you care to look at. Anything that’s not what we decide to be “normal”. Has to be blamed on how many miles you drove your old car around.

Perhaps Verizon “smart” phones employ more “cloud” computing than iPhones do. Wouldn’t Cloud computing of any kind (on any platform), increase the bandwidth usage? Isn’t that what carriers are trying to avoid? So why aren’t they blasting Cloud Computing, before it takes off?

  6. Dallas says:

Given plankton forms the beginning of the food chain for aquatic animals it is cause for concern.

We need to urge FOX on ethical grounds to educate the republican sheeple that plankton is more than whale food. It releases oxygen and traps large amounts of carbon. We need to take this matter seriously.

  7. Blues says:

More CO2 in the atmosphere means more CO2 in dissolved in the water, Dissovled CO2 raises the acicdity and this kills the plankton. As the acidity rises more species will be affected.
