Ever since Obama slammed Vegas this commentary began to develop.

  1. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

#32–Mextli==yep, if we keep this up America will become a land where the average person might share more equitably in the fruits of his labor rather than have it siphoned off by the “rich” under claims of divine right.

And you know what will happen with the pseudo sacrosanct life sucking “business men?” Thats right, they will move to where ever they can suck the most blood==just as they do now.

    Silly Hooman.

  2. Adam Carolla says:

He’s 100% correct. You business-hating liberals may continue to use tortured pretzel logic to make Wynn out to be a demon. Whatever suckers!

  3. cgp says:

Go on bobbo have a good baaarrrrrr.

  4. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

#36–Adam==so its your position that anyone who thinks poor people should go without access to basic healthcare because they can’t afford it is doing god’s work? ie==not a demon? Is that your position bunky? Just another slimeball?

    I got mine, screw you.

  5. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

cgp==thanks for the encouragement, but I don’t know what a baaarrrrrr is. It would be good if idiots like Adam, Mextli, Do-ill, et al had any sense of humor about their misanthropic positions, or any recognition they are only advocating the cutting of their own throats – – – – – but they don’t.

Makes one crabby after a while.

I’ll go check that other thread. I think you were next?

  6. cgp says:

This lounge lizard. We all have to listen to this guy.

You can see why. Gambling, another extremely profitable, (how the hell you not make money) industry that destroys wealth, just like hedge funds, etc.

Whatever the reason why people listen to these destroyers is another root cause of western world demise.

It is over, if you are unemployed now what is your near term likelihood of reemployment?

The leaders will never do a true jobs creation programme. It is not in their ideology. Shit is about to happen.

  7. Dallas says:

Sheeple would respond favorably to this lizard because the gambling industry is like the church business but the chances of success are better.

    zero vs .00000000000000000000000000000000000001%

Insert coin in machine (basket) and promise means to wealth (heaven). Separating sheeple from their money being the common denominator.

  8. cgp says:

    #31

A history experiment. What could have happened if FDR had not done the work programme.

Whatever the opinion, that relief programme did a lot of relieving. Maybe the natural cycle would have picked up, possibly faster, but there was relief.

Could a revolution have happened if not? Maybe it should have. By revolution I mean the true nature of US power, not by and for the people.

  9. spsffan says:

And I might add that it is people like this ‘tard Steve Wynn that ruined Las Vegas. It used to be a place where one could go, enjoy a nice hotel room and a show and a few meals and not have to deal with other people’s children, all for a minimal price, all subsidized by gambling. Sure, you could gamble a bit, too. It was fun, it was for adults, and it was affordable.

Now, its overpriced rooms and restaurants, kids EVERYWHERE (even in the casinos, despite the law*), shopping EVERYWHERE, sickening opulence, grotesque entertainment, and, judging by the crowd at the Mirage last time I was there, China has come to him!

*I recall in the early 1970s when my grandmother lived there, as a child, I was not allowed to even slow down when being escorted through the casino, much less stop, watch, or be allowed to pull the handle on a slot machine. I was forced to watch from outside through the window, in the 100 degree heat while my mother played a roll of quarters. Not just at the Fremont, this was policy all over town. No more. Now, you have babes held in arms while the parents play. Nobody says a thing.

  10. Somebody says:

And this is news because an American has a clue or because somebody is willing to state the obvious?

This is why you should never read de Tocqueville.

    It just makes you grumpy.

  11. SimonSezz says:

These rich guys always want to stop people from being able to sue a doctor. It’s different when something happens to you, then you have a completely different view. For example I went to an ENT a couple years ago and the doctor found that I had my ear canal clogged with ear wax. So he cleaned it out but in the process punctured my ear drum. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced (and I have broken bones before). My ear was bleeding and leaking fluid for weeks. It didn’t help my career options considering I was studying to be a sound engineer! I’m still in the process of suing the doctor.

This doctor got his degree in India, and they let doctors carry over there degrees to the USA. I don’t know but from the lawyers I talked to and other doctors I have seen, he didn’t seem to be qualified to be doing this job. I don’t think this doctor should even have a license anymore because I don’t think anyone else should experience the same trauma.

BTW it isn’t his lawyers fighting against mine, it’s his insurance company versus me and my lawyer. They had no problem offering up some numbers from the start just to keep the case out of court.

  12. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

Too many lawsuits is just more Neo-Con, BS, LIEberTARDian dogma for easy to be led clueless.

Fact is: there aren’t enough lawsuits filed and the crooks are in charge (ie=Republicans for those who need it spelled out)) trying to make their lives even easier. BUT WHAT IS REALLY NEEDED, is UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE so that motivations to sue would be greatly reduced==at least in the healthcare area. BTW–just saw the breaking story that that motorcycle guy who filmed the cop and got arrested for wiretapping is being represented FOR FREE BY THE ACLU!!! Guns are for retards. If you want to protect yourself/everyone else/the CONSTITUTION==you gotta sue.

Again==dumbasses cutting their own throats might even be fair, but in the process, they sell us down the same chute.

  13. Mextli says:

All of this will be BS soon anyway as soon is we get that redistribution of wealth in high gear at least for the so called middle class. I think JK will still hold on to his $7 million $ yacht.

Then we will all have at least the basics of everything. To each according to his need….

  14. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

Mextli==well done. Hard to shake the cobwebs off. I’ll forgive you the nonsense about 50/50.

Maybe a small example for those not up to your admirable speed:

Imagine you wanted to hire a flooring contractor to lay down some nice new parquet? Would you hire the skilled craftsman who loved the grain, smell and look of wood, or would you go with the linoleum guy who said he didn’t believe in wood floors?

So why would you equate the Dems trying to establish social justice with the party who says Government Doesn’t Work and the super rich need more money?

Pretty f*cking obvious if your aren’t twisted.

  15. Al Gore Ate My Hamster says:

Social justice is a theft based redstributionist crock. However, if you want to know why Liberals think govt handouts can drive an economy, look up the theory of “Social Credit”.

  16. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

Algore==yes i know “social justice” is about as popular as saying “bleeding heart liberal” – BUT – if you are honest at all and really studied the underlying issues, social justice and whatever you think the natural relationship of capital and labor are in your idealized society are really two sides to the same coin.

There is very little “right” and “wrong” in human affairs==but who’s ox is being gored is simply a matter of looking, and pragmatism is a matter of seeing what works even when you would wish for some other reality.

    Let the truth guide you.

  17. DaveO says:

Bobbo, more narcissistic than Obama, turns another discussion useless.

  18. fargonaz says:

Doddo, Oh Jesus here I go again, said,”Blah blah blah, Shut up slave, blah blah blah.”

Doddo, guess what my dog is telling me?

  19. Awake says:

Can anybody please tell me why we should care at all what some mafioso from Las Vegas thinks about the way that the country is run?

What are HIS contributions to society? Lets see:

    A) He provides minimum wage jobs to people so that other people can happily lose their money. Net economic gain to the country? ZERO. Nothing produced, no long term jobs created.

    B) I can’t think of any other benefit that Las Vegas brings to America. None.

If Las Vegas got nuked tomorrow, it would actually a net positive to the overall economy.

  20. Adam Carolla says:

#38 Hey pal don’t tell me about being poor. I know all about being poor.

Now I’ve made mine through hard work and a fantastic podcast that you might enjoy.

Get it on! No choice but to get it on. Mandate…get it on!

  21. Timbax says:

Mr Wynn is a huge DB!I live in Vegas guys like him always cry if he does not get his % of profit! This is the guy who cried his power bill was to high so he told the city he would build his own power plant,so he got his brake on his bills!Oh and the avg workers in the city have there bills go up the last 3 yrs from Nevada Power. This guy is crap!!And if people are not coming to Vegas it is because they have become smarter not to come and loose money they don’t have .This city over built and priced homes that people could not afford, and casinos are a meca for cheap labor from South America!

  22. Rob Leather says:

Am I the only person who wanted him to say “Badda-bing” after his explanation of the current situation?

    Just me then 🙁 *sigh*

  23. jman says:

    too bad he’s right

  24. Fauge says:

I have read every comment up until now and there are some good points on both sides. But people seem to forget a few things when discussion degrades to name calling. The consensus here seems to be that this “Lounge Lizzard” only provides minimum wages jobs at best and fills his pockets at the expense of others. You may be partially correct but let me tell you something else he does. He builds things!! And by building things he keep Union Welders working all the way across the country here in NY building trusses for his money grubbing casinos. The guys hanging the steel for those buildings make better than minimum wage so do the plumbers, carpenters, HVAC guys and a hundred other trades that keep american workers feeding their families.
I just ask that before you are quick to condemn someone, take a minute to think about what you are saying.

  25. bobbo, is it narcesstic to even read, much less respond, to a blog? says:

#55–DaveO==my own contribution may be useless but it would be wonderful if I could turn any discussion useless. Such power could be used for ill or good? No. Every person contributes and receives pretty much what they want to. Useless for you? Sure. Heh, heh.

#56–fargonads==I think I’ve told someone to STFU maybe twice and that was over a year ago. My goal is to encourage discussion, but not stupidity. A pretty fine razor.

#57–Awake==excellent as usual. A little harsh in that “recreation” does have value but recreation does not include spending the rent and food money. There are two good reasons to keep Vegas going: 1–keep the money out of the Mafia, and 2–keep the money out of the stock market.

#58–Adam==so you know all about being poor. Tell us why poor people should not have access to healthcare.

Provide a link to your podcast and I’ll certainly give it a listen.

#60–Rod==I wasn’t thinking “badda bing” but I did think about “eh, where’s the cannoli?”

AND BACK TO: #55–Dave==you’re right. Does feel narcissistic but “is” it narcissistict? Sure hope you haven’t anchored me here.

  26. Mad Fred says:

When even the sleaze balls in Vegas admit that Washington is completely out of control, you have to start worrying.
Washington has become a hostile foreign entity which controls this country. Anyone who buys into the propaganda that their life will get one iota better from anything Washington does is insane.
Washington is a malignant tumor which needs immediate surgical attention.

  27. bobbo, is it narcissistic to even read, much less respond, to a blog? says:

Fred: no recognition you think that Washington can only make things worse and not better huh?

    Stupid.

  28. chris says:

Wild and uncontrolled spending… this is new? Wild and uncontrolled spending built Las Vegas! I suspect Obama wants to grab some of that Vegas cash for the Federal kitty, and that is why the great entertainer(puke) is up in arms.

  29. Bahram says:

What a load of crap. Since when a Casino mogul talks for the common people?? and of course, we share the same interests…

  30. ECA says:

    #68,
    HE DOES..
    want to know HOW/WHY..
PEOPLE with MONEY GAMBLE/PARTY/RENT ROOMS, and PAY HIS SALARY.

You DONT goto Vegas, if you aint got money/GAS/Extra cash..
    1 rich person=1 person…
    1,000,000 Middle class/SEMI POOR= 1,000,000 GAMBLERS.
