Ever since Obama slammed Vegas this commentary began to develop.

  1. Ren says:

    Wow.

Nice John, this dude should run for office.

  2. Derek says:

    I’d vote for him

  3. chuck says:

I wonder how much he gave to the Obama campaign.

  4. Farmer Don says:

    Vegas Gambling revenue 10.4 bil.
    Macau Gambling revenue 14.7 bil
    Internet Gambling revenue 26 bil
    (The economist)

  5. jbenson2 says:

Strange comment: “Ever since Obama slammed Vegas this commentary began to develop”

    Huh?

A more accurate version: Ever since Obama started campaigning this commentary began to develop

  6. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

Every big international corporatist prefers the warm embrace of a totalitarian regime. He’s just a self serving pig as all of them are.

    I’ve got mine, screw you.

  7. admfubar says:

who the hell is this jackass??? he looks liike some lounge lizard reject?? is he important??
he has a half assed commentary intended to deflect the concern away from him and his business practices , but other than that he is nothing more than a snake oil salesman.

    who is he really????

  8. chuck says:

#7 – He’s Steve Wynn, owner of the Mirage, the Bellagio and other LV casinos.

Like most rich people, he didn’t get rich spending his own money.

And like many large business owners, he’s realized he can make more money from a favorable government than from simply running his business. At the moment the Chinese government is more “favorable” to him since it has a well-established policy of corruption and bribes with regards to gambling.

  9. PC75 Compact says:

If you must criticize him for being rich, that makes you a true Democrat. Like John Kerry etc. Nonetheless, his observations are no less accurate and revealing. Bobbo, you are such a tool.

  10. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

#9–PC75==No body has said rich but YOU! Typical scuz-bag Repuglican==accuse people of saying things they did not then close with calling them what you are yourself. Haw, Haw.

His observations: I tuned out after he said Healthcare was going to cost more. That pony hasn’t finished its race yet and hopefully significant savings will be found. But whats the alternative: “Hey Poor People who need basic healthcare: do without because you can’t afford it, just suffer in silence because: I got mine, screw you!”

So Compact: want to list some of his other “points” that you find so persuasive? Extra points if you are anywhere near what was actually said.

  11. PC75 Compact says:

    Bobbo, sorry pal.

“Every big international corporatist prefers the warm embrace of a totalitarian regime. He’s just a self serving pig as all of them are.

    I’ve got mine, screw you.”

Gee whiz, Batman, that sure sounds like RICH to me. But then, you must not know what you are saying, as usual. Then you turn around and blast anyone who disagrees. Jerk.

  12. RTaylor says:

The health care reform is a tangled piece of shit. A good reform would be slowly introduced over a decade or more. Hand out scholarships to med students that will agree to take a larger percentage of Medicare/Medicaid patients. Build up the infrastructure. Tort reform should be front and center, but who expects a bunch of lawyers to vote against a big legal cash cow.

  13. Mike says:

That greedy bastard. What has he done for us? Well, ok, besides creating thousands of jobs and treating his employees better than the other casinos.

  14. tomdennis says:

What does he know about my type of poverty?
I am the person that voted for Obama because I am poor. He knows nothing, he just pushes buttons and things happen.

  15. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

#11–PC==sorry, even when your glaring fault is accurately pointed out to you, you REFUSE to learn a fricking thing. I have nothing against rich people per se. My comments AS EMPHASIZED TO YOU, are directed AGAINST: big national corporatists. The very sad fact is that all big national corporatists are not rich because all too many of them are LIEberTARDs who “imagine” themselves in this catagory of “taxes are a form of slavery” BS shit for brains dogma you spew.

So, its “sounds like” rich to you even though it certainly doesn’t AND it has now been expressly stated TWICE that the statement means just what it says.

I have no knee-jerk agenda against the rich, and not even against international corporatists until they projectile vomit their as demonstrated.

Are you lying or just this stupid?

I only blast those who spount dogma and can’t back it up, folks like YOU.

Go to the Post on WikiLeaks from Yesterday and you will see me greatly compliment Guyver for confronting my position. A well crafted argument in opposition is a thing of beauty. A turd in a punch bowl such as you offer is hard to dress up.

So, stop attacking me personally thinking you have something to say and go ahead and post those key insights you think Steve Wynn is so right about. I’m sure on your next visit to Vegas he will comp you with a free room and a clapped up whore===just as you deserve.

I’d love to have a rational discussion with you, but obviously your performance level doesn’t warrant it.

Sad you feel threatened when its pointed out you are being robbed blind.

    Stoopid Hooman.

  16. Milo says:

So you Americans feel good that your tax cuts paid for Mr. Lounge-Lizzard’s hookers?

  17. Milo says:

You sure that you got all of your wingnut talking points in deo?

  18. GeekPirateRoberts says:

Why is it so many of you on both (all) sides have to resort to juvenile name calling (Repuglican, LIEberTARDs, etc) instead of just supporting your arguments? You lose so much credibility by resorting to ad hominem attacks. If you’re trying to win points by associating your opponent with some stereo-typed group (aren’t we passed that by now), you’re really just succeeding in associating yourself with elementary school playground name-callers. How’s that working for you?

  19. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

#21–well, Geek: who are you to say I associate myself with elementary school playground name-callers? Same thing.

Name calling alone, as exemplified by PC, certainly doesn’t help anything. As exemplified by Pedro however it is a powerful shortcut encapsulating a whole range of attributes in a word or two. Brevity the soul of wit and analysis.

Perhaps your own vocabulary just isn’t as well crafted?

So, name calling alone is certainly most often bad form, but characterizing a dipshit for that status along with a list of the reasons why is a different kettle of disrespect.

Silly to think the vague ambiguities of polite discourse is anything but unimaginative and the product of dullards.

  20. bill says:

The gaming industry is all about managing risk.
I understand why he said there is more uncertainty here in the US.

Anybody out there care to place a ‘bet’ on the elections this Nov?

    A ‘sucker’ bet?

    I think not.

  21. smartalix says:

THe gaming industry is all about taking gambler’s money. The house always wins in the long run. THey didn’t build those casinos from the money you took home.

  22. Floyd says:

#8: Steve Wynn owns the Bellagio and the Wynn Hotel. He may still have a stake in the Golden Nugget Downtown as well.

  23. freddybobs68k says:

Nothing to see here. Just general blathering on right wing talking points. No insight. Nothing.

  24. bobbo, to the left of Obama says:

#19–do-ill==good listing of the Repuglican regurgitated talking points.

But who was it that said “Nobody cares about deficits” and then went ahead destroying the surplus they walked into office with, driving the bus off the road, and then handing the keys to Obama?

    Yes, retards like you.

  25. Lou says:

If China is such a good deal, he is free to sell his LV holdings. He can take his cash and head to China. Wonder why he’s not doing that, if he’s suffering such hardship in LV. In other words he doing a dis service to his shareholders by staying in LV.

  26. Mr Ed says:

    Hyperbole is so exagerated!

  27. Cursor_ says:

So he abandons the nation that made him prosperous.

    Yep typical.

Bones are picked clean here, time to move on and pick in another land. Carrion fowl.

I say we tax his foreign assets 90% and see how long it takes for him to surrender his citizenship.

And his first comments about Washington DC not having common sense anymore. Another prime example of the educational system in the US failing.

I would think in the 1920s when Harding was president and he LOST the white house china in gambling was no common sense. Perhaps Wilson and the congress passing Segregation was a lack of sense too? How about those usury laws in 1863? Sense, no none at all.

The statement should have been there has NEVER been any common sense since the government formed in 1789!

Fucking useless hot air spewing uneducated louts!

“The United States is going the way of Greece, Spain, etc. We are spending way more than we are making and this is becoming a bad place to business. Sooner or later our credit will run out and at that point it isn’t going to be pretty. ”

Remember how we used to hear the lament “Look at the rest of the world. We are only industrialized country without a national health care plan.”?

It won’t be long before we have something else the ALL have, a VAT.

    Welcome to the welfare state.

  29. sargasso_c says:

Propaganda. The language of persuasion. You have to hand it to him, he didn’t break his rhythm or break out in a Nixon style sweat. Smooth operator.
