I surely don’t agree with his politics, but admire his rage:

  1. bobbo, can limericks be far behind says:

    Dylan Ratigan.
    Man Confronts power daily.
    How long will he last?

  2. Anon says:

This Dylan guy sure is trying hard to be the left’s Glenn Beck.

  3. bobbo, can limericks be far behind says:

    Anon, are you real?
    Can’t tell shit from shinola.
    Truth from Raving? Sad.

  4. birddog says:

Kinda like the pc vs mac commercials I always feel sorry for pc. In this case I kinda felt sorry for the politician.

  5. bobbo, student of the haiku says:

    Yes, Politicians.
    They don’t deserve your pity.
    They deserve your scorn.

  6. McCullough says:

    Politicians bellow,
    The enlightened fume.
    Offal for the sheeple.

  7. MikeN says:

First it was Jack Galt, then Jacob Galt, is John Galt next followed by Hurley Galt, Sawyer Galt, and Kate Galt?

    [Har! – ed.]

  8. bobbo, student of the haiku says:

    McCullough-whats up?
    Non standard verse, or Modern?
    It is all worthy.

  9. ECA says:

    Hmm,
Someone keeps saying that 1% pay the MOST in Taxes..
That 1% (300,000)is on the top of MOST of these corps.
Why not TAKE the money, and SHIP THEM to India/china where they SHIPPED OUR JOBS?
For the wages of those 1%, I would THINK would could hire a couple MILLION workers..
1 person making $10 per hour, $20k per year.
50 will be $1million per year..then take out taxes and the GOV would be happy.

BP made $35billion PROFIT LAST YEAR??
Thats 1.7 million workers at $10 per hour..
NOW for those BANKS and the Stock market..

we can either Put EVERYONE on welfare(in the USA) for the PROFITS of the corps.. OR we can FORCE THEM TO TAKE WAGE CUTS..
There is another alternative. HIRE the unemployed. MAKE them gov workers, and REBUILD THIS COUNTRY. CORP TAX pays for that also.

  10. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

    LIEbeTARDians.
    Fantasy Self Involvement.
    I’ve got mine. Screw you.

  11. LDA says:

Excellent, I hope he does the same to the Democrats.

P.S. Right wing people, Glen Beck is not your friend.

  12. REd says:

Poor Dylan, your not long for this world. I see a two-to-the-head candidate.

That’s what you get for fighting the special interests.

  13. chuck says:

    A modest proposal:

Take the money that they want to spend on extending unemployment benefits, and, instead, announce that small business (with 50 or less on the payroll) can have a payroll tax-holiday for the remainder of 2010. On condition that they hire at least 2 more employees, and don’t reduce their employee count immediately during 2011.

There are 1000s of small businesses that need workers. But they know that right now, their main competition is the government “stimulus” program which is simply rewarding large corporations for not firing people.

  14. bobbo, student of the haiku says:

    Its Hard to govern
Far from the truth, with tax tricks.
    Spend on essentials.

  15. Captain Har says:

    GREED, capitalism’s Achilles heel.

  16. bobbo, libertarianism fails when its Dogma blinds them to the rising threat of Corporations that can only be held in check by Government thru the will of the people says:

    Greed, is not evil.
    Failing to regulate is.
    Failure of the TARDS.

  17. Dallas says:

    That definitely exceeded my expectations!

The host ripped that Republican droid a new asshole for parroting the typical rhetoric and I loved it!!

    BRAVO

  18. bobbo, libertarianism fails when it becomes Dogma says:

    #18–polybot==you say:

    1. not sure if Dylan understands this, /// Only a fool or a tool would think he doesn’t.

    2. but it’s the government that runs the country. /// Nominally, true.

    3. Republicans aren’t the government. // Yes, and they aren’t the sphincter either, just the blockage.

    4. Wall street doesn’t write or regulate law. /// In a corrupt system, of course they are.

    5. Didn’t think that was so hard to understand. /// YOU have missed the obvious, or worse.

    6. He seems truly half-witted. /// Whaddadope! LIEberTARD or Neo-Con?

  19. Hmeyers says:

Jobless benefits even if extended should erode a few percent a month to eventually hit zero.

Like 1% to 5% per month.

This would better prepare people for the loss of benefits.

And getting a new lower paying job shouldn’t instantly terminate the unemployment benefits — otherwise it is encouraging people to remain unemployed.

Yes there aren’t many good jobs out there, but unemployment at 99 weeks is hella long. That’s nearly 2 years.

  20. Hmeyers says:

Btw … both people in that video are posturing and both are wrong. The world would be a better place if me didn’t see any more of them.

I hate the left vs. right crap.

The proposed “answers” on the so-called “left” and the “right” are repulsive.

  21. Derek says:

Wow… That guy was/is an idiot. Is MSNBC just tossing turds at the wall to see if anything sticks? Yes, is it government forced sub-prime loans? Surely not. Is it a corrupt Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Couldn’t be. Is it a government spending trillions on propping up failed businesses and entitlement programs? Impossible!

No! It MUST be Wall Street. Government can do no wrong!

  22. ECA says:

    AND THE PROBLEM??

The gov had LEVELS..and those have been hidden, and disguised and gotten rid of.

Positions were taken up by MONEY and POPULARITY..
    Started from the bottom UP..

    RULES/LAWS/REGULATIONS were taken away.

In the larger cities, things DIDNT HAPPEN as a vote was made. Corruption took the votes, and no one could do much about it…

A little here, a little THERE, happening randomly, over years…taking over the nation..

WE dont ELECT the best/brightest/smartest/ABLE to the job..we dont even bring THOSE persons into the light of elections.

  23. nicktherat says:

    i hate reporters that scream

  24. ECA says:

    YOU WANT A fun SOLUTION??
    REGULATE wages in reverse.

    NO min wage…
    THERE IS A MAX WAGE.

it would recover and stabilize PRICES and the COST of living.

    Want EVEN MORE??

SAME WAGE, unless its a dangerous/UNWANTED JOB everyone gets the SAME WAGE.
    WOW look at those PROFITS..

it would also FORCE companies to bring in ONLY BETTER GOODS. you wont have 6 companies selling the SAME thing EITHER.

  25. Scooter says:

The problem is that we no longer have a government for the people. Politicians on the right and the left are in it for themselves. Businesses (including the media) are only in the business of getting everything they can and screw everyone else.

What we need is the modern day version of the French revolution right here in the good ‘ole USA.

  26. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

I think, and I could be wrong, that Ratigan’s point is as follows: Wall street itself has become a more attractive investment than creating or expanding a business in the traditional and productive way.

The intent of the financial sector was to enable investors to invest….but now that that sector has become an investment itself, it seems to be strangling those who wish to invest in ideas/people. The latter is better, as it creates an economy. The former is little more than a money swap.

Seems to me he picked the wrong politician…who the hell is this guy??

  27. bobbo, libertarianism fails when it becomes Dogma says:

    #23–polybutt==you say:

    1. Bobbo, you would have absolutely thrived in a Nazi Germany. /// Seriously doubt that.

    2. you believe all society’s ills are due solely to NeoCons/JEWS/libtards, /// Making shit up? Good Tool. Never said or implied “all” and putting in Jew is either very sick or in the best case misapplied humor. Humor is hard to do.

    3. whatever imaginary demon you care to fabricate. /// Our demon’s are real. Those willing to foul the public market place of ideas with dogma meant to feather their own nests.

    4. you believe anyone who doesn’t share you exact dogma must be said Neocon/JEW/libtard.
/// “Exact” being a restatement of “all.”

    5. And just as you wish to lead the lynch mob, you bizarrely see yourself as reasoned and tolerant. /// Lynch mob? = No. Hopefully, revealing the corruption you attempt to hide is all that is needed. Reasoned? = Of course. Neither one of us would argue with a fool. Tolerant? = Of a libertarian? Yes, I’m one myserf. Of a LIEberTARD? = No. You and your ilk are actively subverting our society.

  28. bobbo, libertarianism fails when it becomes Dogma says:

    #29–Olo:

    Mostly correct, but
    No Such Thing as Investment
    Skimming, Arbitrage.

Note: Any “system” that makes makes a million computer trades untouched by human intervention in less than a second to skim less than a penny a stock is not an investment. Wallstreet is as corrupt as our Government and Expressly not even for the people.

Wallstreet reform is a fraud. That which should be illegal should not be otherwise regulated.

  29. Ruan says:

Bobbo – the sad dork that got nothing to do than troll

  30. deowll says:

Well I can agree with part of what he said. Washington is a huge hunk of the problem. The place is an abscess of corruption and anyone who wants to just blame one party has pretty much proven they are completely delusional.
