The bit about Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy lacked the deconstruction that is common to the show. It was simply an edit of the clues he answered incorrectly. Keep in mind John and Adam also got most of them wrong. Seems to me watching the entire episode would not make this seem so funny. This is part of the “journalists are dumb” meme.
Yep it you are going to call somebody ignorant for not knowing the right answer it pays to know the right answer when you give it on the podcast.
Didn’t listen to NA in a long time, and gave it a shot…only to find out why I stopped listening.
Why do these guys start talking about things they know nothing of? “Argentina and Brasil are the best teams in the world”… That’s such a cliché…
FYI Brasil, while a powerful team on it’s own is the weakest Brasil in decades. Argentina has terrific players, but when they decided to put “God” coaching, we’re in for epic tatical disasters like the Germany game where they were whipped…
Riggin’? Yeah there’s some…like we(portugal) lost to Spain with an illegal (offside) goal and Germany crushed England based on a game changing goal that was illegal…
Well I know you don’t care about soccer…but there you go…I do.
These guys should stop commentating on stuff they do not know. Before the tournament, Spain were the favorites to win the FIFA. They won the European Championship in 2008 and have the best(or second best) league in the world. The Netherlands, have a great side– with Robben, Snejider, and Van Persie. In fact, Netherlands has not lost in more than 20 matches.
