Now, isn’t that special? Too bad they aren’t that passionate about something even slightly important.

  1. bobbo, the dead hand of history should not be clasped says:

Say McCullough–you’ve been doing the Lion’s share of posting lately. Double duty?

But how do you know these are Laker’s Fans? I saw 99% of the crowd being Blacks kicking the shit out of some metal box. Sure it wasn’t just a brother’s birthday?

  2. ECA says:

    Ok,,,
I dont mind you destroying YOUR OWN STUFF.. but, leave the rest alone.

This just makes it Look bad for the rest of us. And makes it look as if, sports should be removed from society..

  3. Anon says:

The police should have deployed 200 officers armed with multiple tasers.

  4. Benjamin says:

Riots always occur in low income urban areas. I wonder why only low income people choose to live there. If they want to destroy their own neighborhood, they shouldn’t be surprised when businesses don’t want to build there. That is the true reason for the lack of supermarkets in low income areas.

  5. Ah_Yea says:

At least saves the time and expense traveling to the World Cup for world class riots.

  6. McCullough says:

#1. “But how do you know these are Laker’s Fans? I saw 99% of the crowd being Blacks kicking the shit out of some metal box. Sure it wasn’t just a brother’s birthday?”

I have it on good authority there was a competitor’s fan in that box. Or was it just a La Raza demo?

OK, I made that up, for those of you who don’t get my particular style of humor.

  7. bobbo, the dead hand of history should not be clasped says:

#6–McCullough==so what your saying is it still could have been a brother’s birthday party?

  8. wapcaplets says:

I love the nerd at 1:17 that walks up and can barely manage to kick the green box. Loser.

  9. MR says:

They got nothing on Montreal. They riot after every playoff round the Canadiens are in, win or lose.

  10. gquaglia says:

Notice the thugs waving the Mexican flags. This is Obama’s new America. Change you can believe in!

  11. chuck says:

Where’s the LAPD with the ROV drones with hellfire missiles?

  12. mcjojo says:

sports is the opium of the masses..

  13. Ah_Yea says:

“Say McCullough–you’ve been doing the Lion’s share of posting lately. Double duty?”

It looks (hopefully) that this blog is growing up a bit and getting tired of the crazy rants of Perkel and Eideard.

    Hence, double duty?

  14. namalor says:

    gquaglia:

And when the philly baseball riots when down I am sure I had seen a bunch of italian flags… Fucking Obama!

  15. Faxon says:

Thanks for posting this bit of stupidity. Perhaps, at last, EVERYONE here will agree with me.
Sports fans are idiots. Pro sports are stupid, (a bunch of millionaires chasing balls around), and, by and large, the world would be much better off WITHOUT pro sports.

  16. RSweeney says:

Morons really don’t need an excuse to act like morons.

    But it helps.

  17. Dave says:

Look’s like a party in Mexico to me. I didn’t know Mexico had so many Laker’s fans.

  18. bobbo, self actualization is a wonderful thing says:

#16–Faxon/Faxoff (I’d rather have the clap!)==since you are so universally wrong about everything you post, it should not go without notice when you stumble onto a debateable point.

There is nothing wrong with Pro Sports. Whats wrong is that anyone would pay money to see them. Sports is like art in that respect. Its real value lies in what the individual does himself. Appreciating the Lakers or van Gogh is no where as near valuable as playing Bball yourself or splashing some water colors around.

    Development/appreciation of one’s self–not adoration of others.

  19. bseer says:

Sadly the rioters are killing the newspaper.

  20. deowll says:

Yong males in their late teens and early twenties need good adult male role modals and of course some of them need the devil beaten out them a few times before they stop acting like chimps.

  21. algoreisacrook says:

    mexicans…its what they do…

  22. McCullough says:

#19. “There is nothing wrong with Pro Sports.”

Highly debatable. This book makes a great case for corruption in Pro Sports. From boxing to baseball, etc. Officials and players are bribed and/or compromised. There is too much money in this business not to suspect some degree of corruption.

  23. just me says:

Sports are a great way of promoting an “us verses them” mentality. Competition instead of cooperation, that’s the ticket.

  24. norcalCJ says:

I love that you can watch the stupidity in HD.

  25. KMFIX says:

    They really hate newspapers!

  26. yankinwaoz says:

Regarding the Mexican flags. I’m pretty sure that was leftover rioting material from earlier yesterday when Mexico beat France at the World Cup. I heard there was craziness going on over in Echo Park area afterward.

  27. Adam Carolla says:

    What would Calderon do?

  28. BigBoyBC says:

Bobo said: “I saw 99% of the crowd being Blacks kicking the shit out of some metal box.”

Really? Blacks? You’re either blind or stupid, they were Hispanic, not black.

As for the Mexican flag, it’s quite common to see the Mexican flag being waved downtown, since the area is quickly becoming predominantly Hispanic.

  29. LDA says:

    #23 McCullough

I agree that (like most high money pursuits) pro-sport is very corrupt. I would also suggest that aspirants to pro-sport (pro-money) are almost always more entertaining and determined than those that have ‘made it’.
