  1. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

All I got to say is thanks for getting that tattooed idiot’s face off the top of the page.

  2. Grey says:

I enjoy commercials like this. The ones that make you feel good, or give you a real laugh. You almost want to buy the product as thanks for making you feel good.

  3. Matt says:

I’m a soccer fan and think this was real GAY and just MEH.

  4. Mikey Twit says:

Cool commercial, but Pepsi overplayed their hand with them wearing those idiotic logo shirts. Keeps it on the wrong side of cheesey. Aside from that, looks like Pepsi’s been using the same ad agencies as Adidas and Nike, who have mad similar style commercials.

  5. chuck says:

Remember kids: cheating at soccer is how you win!

  6. Jason says:

Cute ad but it just tries to bury with happy feelings that Pepsi (Like Coke) is taking over the water supply in as many countries in the world that is possible and that African countries are at the greatest risk from these robber barons.

Watch “Water Wars” to see what I mean:

  7. joaoPT says:

Sorry but the BEST soccer ads are NIKE’s:

    Have FUN

  8. spsffan says:

A nice, uplifting commercial. But, at 2.5 minutes, it won’t get proper airplay. Pity.

  9. DaveO says:

Pepsi is trying tell us that Africans are cheaters?

  10. Rufus says:

“Do you know who we are?”

No, we don’t. Soccer is for kids.

  11. wirelessg says:

It is interesting that FIFA has not frowned on these backward portrayals of Africa leading up to the World Cup. Get ready for the Suid-Afrika Chamber of Commerce scenery during the match telecasts.

  12. bobbo, when the obvious isn't says:

Years ago I was in a mountain valley in Peru and the old, short, bentover women tried to sell me Pepsi. I don’t like sugar water so I said no.

Then we hiked up to the top of the local Mountain–took about 3 hours and I was really winded and glad I had my water with me. Thing was, the old women hiked up right behind us and offered us the Pepsi’s again from the cold bags with ice they carried up.

I still didn’t want any g-damn sugar water, but what are you gonna do? So I bought Pepsi’s for everyone in the group including our walking dispenser machines==seems they don’t like drinking it either.

Yes, something wicked about sugar water.

  13. nicktherat says:

first off, nothing from pepsi can ever be that cool
secondly showing kids drinking soda should be illegal
thirdly, the physics were way off

  14. mobile games says:

i watched it it’s nice one from pepsi, nice ad.

  15. pwuk says:

Gaah, its not “soccer” it’s football!

(hell, more countries play tiddlywinks than amerkin “football”)

  16. PoopSushi says:

Generally I would be upset by the exploitation of culture to sell sugar water but since this made up African culture in the commercial doesn’t exist I guess I don’t have an argument. Oh, except that it’s a stupid fucking commercial. That’s my argument.
