I believe the suicide rate in China is around 15% and Foxconn employs 300,000 people so they are actually below average.
Also the iPad is selling about 200,000 a week in the US so I’m sure it’s outselling a lot of things.
mr Dvorak it doesn’t seem to work mate, bugger (ref clip above 😉 )
This Tech5 started out by saying it is March 21st…
/just saying you may have fucked up.
I have been a loyal reader of Consumer reports for decades – still am -and I appreciate their work HOWEVER . . .
The mentioned reviews of computers was awful – must have been done by a computer newbie.
For example: In their comparison charts they listed the amount of RAM for each product with no mention whatsoever of whether the OS was 32bit or 64bit. So the PCs with more than 4GB of RAM automatically looked better than the ones with 4GB or less. No mention of the many software and hardware incompatabilities of 64GB OSes at this stage of their development/market penetration, or whether 64GB is needed for particular users.
This is not nitpicking. Just ask one of the thousands of people who had to buy new printers because the makers wouldn’t write 64bit drivers for very recent models, and don’t forget to ask those whose software wouldn’t work.
For me, Consumer Reports main benefit is teaching how to evaluate products, not merely their ratings. That should be their only emphasis for computer articles. The models and features change so fast the listed models are gone before publication.
None of my comments reflect on the best-worst ratings mentioned. However, most poll results, of any kind, are weighted toward negative answers. Happy customers can’t be bothered. That’s why I posted this rant.
You have a great Website; will you visit my website, http://sypware-busters.blogspot.com/, scan your website for malicious software for free, and add comments about whether you have malicious software on your computer?
The iPad is selling about 150000 im a week in United States so I’m dam sure it’s outselling a lot of things.
