Yah know if you eat salt you will die…Of course if you don’t eat salt you will die cause the truth is you’re going to die. I think they just want to sell fake salt.
Why does Oz care about porn? Puritanical atheist and agnostics are weird. China does the same thing. The only thing I can figure is the elite wish to exercise their right to control the sub human masses.
Any excuse to chip people. I’ll buy that line.
I’ve always just got a box and had to set up my own DSL. Of course I do get spam from AT & T trying to sell me DSL when I already have DSL from AT & T. Dish is still trying to sell me a hook up even though I have Dish.
Fake sound sound tracks for the View/Pageant? How shocking! Say what the elite want or get kicked off the show.
Remi better stay out of the middle east or she is apt to die/get flogged/whatever.
Why should anyone be surprised to learn that the FBI does things that suggest some of the people at the top can’t find their own rear without somebody doing it for them? Of course I don’t trust this guy either.
#2 – Australia isn’t governed by puritanical atheists, it’s ruled increasingly by puritanical christians.
Religion is conspicuously absent in most of the population – fewer than 7% of Australians actually attend church (and probably fewer still actually observe the rules they profess to believe).
Still, though the governing party is the formerly-leftist labor party, the Prime Minister is quite religious and panders to the religious right. The minister for porn filtering is from the religious right. The opposition conservative party has long pandered to or been controlled by the religious right. I’m sure you can see the problem 🙁
#3 I can see the problem but unless that tiny minority has a lot of cash or the vastly larger majority is willing to go along with the laws the minority support I still don’t get it.
Yeah, it’s pretty weird. Australians will go along with whatever laws get passed.
I guess the religious groups are fairly well-funded, but more importantly they are well organized, extremely vociferous, and thus very effective at getting their crackpot moral outrage views into the political debate.
In comparison, the majority is basically silent, can’t be bothered organizing or being politically active, and takes whatever is dished out. Even though Aussies whinge a lot, it’s basically limited to only whinging, and most whingers won’t even bother changing their vote. I guess it is this void that cedes control to the nutjobs by default. Successive governments have even managed to kill off the unions – they’re still around but moribund and politically impotent, so there isn’t even political action from that front.
Anybody got a link to that ex-cia guy interview? Would like to hear/watch it all.
